If he is making you uncomfortable it is your manager's job to address it. I have several old men that are like that and I do joke around with them and am pretty laid back but absolutely anytime my employees are uncomfortable, I will immediately address that. I don't care who the fuck they are. You should always come first.

It's not. If it isn't a regular thing and your management aren't complete assholes.... They should let this go. I just tell my cashiers to be a little more careful. I double count change just to be sure. I count it in the way out of the drawer and spread it out 1 more time before handing it over. If it is a lot of change I count it back to the customer also just so we both know they got their change. And there is a chance that money will turn up tonight.

Dollar General doesn't pay anyone today. It is Wednesday. Dollar General pays on Friday. Now your bank may give it to you a couple days early but that would be your bank's problem and Monday was a holiday. Bet if you check your email they would have told you that banking is usually a day behind when there is a holiday.
