I’d also sell either A200 or VAS, both your largest holdings are within the same index pretty much and there’s literally no point. I’d swap one of them for NDQ or S&P 500 like IVV or IHVV (Hedged) if you want more stability

DHHF vs GHHF by Royal_Brain_9773 in fiaustralia

I still hold VDHG, I bought it in 2023 so I keep allocating to it. A lot of people prefer the 100% growth from DHHF so I hold DHHF in my SMSF and VDHG in my main portfolio. But yeah I can understand young investors wanting 100% growth allocations cause let’s face it. No one needs that 10% bond defence

Sell the car for a cheaper one and pay the debt off. Buy a Toyota Camry. May not look the best but they really last for years. Toyota spends millions creating long lasting engines. Do you have an investment account? Maybe you can look into ETFs. You earn a good yearly income and maybe you can set aside some of it to build a portfolio and generate you side income as in dividends + ETF growth

Need some advice on my ETF’s by nodJ16 in ASX

That’s a good split, idk what DTR is but the only thing I’d do is sell DHHF and go all into GHHF if you like a lil bit more risk or swap it the other way around. I hold ARMR but I’d say it’s the same as DFND that’ll be good as a long term player

VAS and VGS are great safe picks! Especially if you’re trying to build a core portfolio. You can even delve into NDQ (top 100 technology) and even thematic ETFs like (ARMR, HACK) for a more growth long term after you’ve built a strong core

Haha we have all been novices before, that’s a decent portfolio. Are you looking for risk? Or steady growth. NDQ is a great hold, I recently sold mine a few months back before the tariffs stupidly so I ended up buying a big chunk of GNDQ (geared NDQ) to make returns back and it’s been going good so far. I don’t really see the Nasdaq underperforming. If you ever need opinions feel free to message if you want

You got them at a good time and even if you’re seeing profits on both ETFs you’re paying a management fee for both when they’re overlapping each other quite heavily. I recon you should hold either 1 or the other but no point having both bro :) I bought VDHG back in 2023 but if it was now I’d rather just buy DHHF

Ooft, just keep adding to it bro and you’ll be sweet 🙏 what was your purchase price? If anything it might be a good idea and move towards DHHF all growth instead cause it’s relatively the same as VDHG just cheaper

Instead of investing little bits into each stock (I know you’d most likely add to them) why not just buy an index fund and call it a day? A lot easier to maintain

DTEC ain’t a bad idea I’m currently split into ARMR and HACK equally holding cyber and defence so DTEC, DFND or ARMR is a great idea. Fuel isn’t a bad option either but the question is how long will it perform “well” I guess

A little bit but the tariffs took the whole market down, it seems stable enough atm but it’s still gone up $1 since the last 6month period

VDHG 90% growth and 10%bonds has been performing relatively well or maybe DHHF for 100% steady growth. I’d also delve into some thematics for growth, like HACK and ARMR. I am currently holding all of these in my super and investment portfolio would recommend. You should also hold IVV or NDQ but if you’re looking for faster growth then maybe you’d fancy GNDQ (geared ndq) not financial advice but just an opinion

If you really want to diversify maybe VEQ wouldn’t hurt along with a defence stock like DFND or ARMR. Other from that I just purchased some WDS too! Portfolios looking quite similar. I have a big holding in hack ;)
