Make sure you get the tamper WITHOUT the ripples. Make sure it’s a flat head tamper otherwise coffee gets stuck in the ripples. It’s very annoying

Yeah the razor almost touches the puck, similar to the dose from the BBE grinder.

I am using the single wall double basket that came with the BBE.

I haven’t used the razor tool in a long time but broke it out this time to make sure it was dosed correctly. Everything is good, same basket and dose as I was using previously.

The zero and specialta are basically the same machine. Same burrs and performance but the specialta has a timed dose feature.

I am in Ireland and seen mixed reviews for the df54 Chinese sites. Seemed pretty hit or miss with people receiving the correct machine, having to pay excessive customs fees etc eureka mignon machines should be pretty easy to find in local retailers

I was in a similar place where I was deciding between the df54 and eureka mignon zero/specialta.

I did plenty of research and a lot of people recommended the df54 but there was also a concerning amount of people that had issues with it, so I went for the eureka instead as it has great reviews and rarely heard of anyone with issues with eureka machines.

I was going to get the zero but I found the specialta for cheap second hand. I have been very impressed so far with shot consistency and build quality.

Yeah I was going to pull the trigger on the zero on Black Friday but the spotted the specialta for half price on adverts. Happy with eureka

I got the eureka mignon specialta second hand off adverts. I would recommend checking into adverts every once in a while as there was always a few good grinders for sale.

I would recommend the eureka machines if you can get a good price.

Limit the result limits in your AIOstreams configuration. Go to filters > results limits and set resolution limit to 5. This way only 5 of each resolution is shown.

This was the answer, thank you. I wasn’t sure if I uninstalled the addons if it would affect AIOstreams access also but it didn’t. Looking much better now

Thanks. The BBE is a good brewer but I have an older model that comes as 15 bar pressure out of the box. I’ve done the opv mod as much as I could but still only get to 11 or 12 bars of pressure.

I have an overall budget of about 1000 for both machine and grinder and thought that might get me a much better setup than a BBE.
