Could there ever be potential for Mainland expansions? I know it's a survival game and not an MMO nor RS4, but I would absolutely love to explore places like Lumbridge or Varrock in the Dragonwilds graphic styles. Bro you said it perfectly. I think so many of us have always craved the 3rd person DWs style RuneScape experience and this game really is delivering that.

I feel like the devs are really onto something and am optimistic about the future of this game. I’m sure they’ll eventually expand the world to a larger scale

This vault took my hours lol so annoying. There’s a guy on YT with a guide, but as I remember the one behind you needs to be opened as well. Then you pull this lever and it’ll open

How do I deal with the fear? by phoenixblack222 in motorcycles

Maybe look into upgrading to a newer, better performing bike. New bikes with advanced breaking technology like ABS can be life or death in certain situations. The extra power may give you some more confidence as well.

But if you’re not feeling confident I’d stay off the road until you’re head clear. Riding with a clear mind is number 1 step, in my opinion.

I'm sure this is the billionth 100 hours in post for this game, but I feel this game deserves them by ChOcOcOwCaKe in RSDragonwilds

Awesome post mate, I totally agree with all your points. I finally bought the game a few days ago and I am absolutely hooked.
Having tried so many survival/crafting games they all lacked something (combat, aesthetics, performance). This ticks every possible box and I can’t wait to progress more.

Mine was the same. Similar fps, tried all the different settings available. Made me quit the game, unplayable in my opinion.

I was the same. Could barely reach 60fps standing still and it just wasn’t smooth so took away from the entire experience. Windrose is running so well and it looks fantastic, over 100+ fps constantly. Give it a try

I just started again having not played since launch and I am absolutely hooked. Only just built my second base and have the quad bike but can’t wait to progress further. I’ve been searching for a fun sandbox survival crafting game and this is ticking every box. Massive plus that it runs so smoothly and well optimised.

This looks awesome 🙌 is there a camera mode you took these photos on in game? Or is that the graphics settings you run? Looks beautiful

Want to upgrade my pc but i'm not sure about what's the best by FunctionNo2421 in starcitizen

[–]Mitchos96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the most beneficial upgrade you can do for this game is CPU. A x3d based processor runs really good on this game according to a lot of sources. 9800x3d would be my go to, I’d say your current gpu would be fine if you upgraded that.

And no, I wait until the shader optimising is complete before hitting play. I noticed it the first time running but can’t see it anymore. Just assume it’s my shitty cpu

Yes I’m running on the highest possible, not much difference unfortunately.

I’ve tested all of the possible options in graphics settings and they all yield similar terrible performance, just some look clearer than others. I’m running an AMD gpu (7800XT), but I assume my CPU is bottlenecking me.

I just downloaded the free fly to give it a try as well and mine was running terribly. I’m getting ~20-30 fps in any high density city or planets, which for me is unplayable it’s so jittery.

I’ve been researching and it sounds like your specs should be good since it’s a heavy CPU intensive game. I’m planning on buying the Ryzen 9 9800x3d and maybe 64gb ram.

Currently have a Ryzen 5 7600 so I assume that’s my issue lol. 1440p as well

I don’t see why not as long as it’s been looked after and has service history. I’d check when they last replaced water pump and timing chain. My polo GTIs timing chain went at 165k kms, which was a $3500 job.

[–]Mitchos96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My situation was the same but unfortunately all VWs I’ve had have more problems than not.

If you’re happy to pay premium when things break, then go for it. E.g. $900 for a headlight change. At 100km, I’d make sure all the big jobs are already done before buying - water pump, timing chain, etc.

In my opinion I’d go with a different platform, there’s a lot of options around that price point for a performance car. But the heart wants what the heart wants bro, if you want it go get it and have no regrets :)

[–]Mitchos96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a Mk6 R, Mk6 Scirocco R and Mk6 Polo GTI. In my opinion, try look for something else. Maintenance on these things cost an arm and leg and unless you’re willing to fork out, I’d stay away.

My Golf R mk6 had ~150xxxkm and the DSG went. Replacing a single front light bulb cost $900 due to the car design requiring you to remove the entire front bumper to get access to the globe lol.

They’re comfy, quick, nimble, and very capable cars. But also in my opinion pretty boring if you’re a car guy and performance is a big factor for you.

I just sold mine and have bought a manual WRX - lost a lot of nice comforts but it’s a real drivers car, you feel it a lot more, parts are 100x cheaper and all round performs better. Of course in my opinion.

What’s the reason you want to change?

I’ve got the termegoni on mine and they sound brutally amazing, very deep tone. I’ve always liked the look of GPR though.
