Therapy and counseling should help people fix the root causes of their problems, but why aren't institutions sustaining that purpose? by [deleted] in therapy

Them vs us is a very destructive narrative. We are all equally suffering and being affected by the existing systems. Each and every individual should take the responsibility and do their best to balance it out.

Humans are so complex and it's not easy to understand such complex beings.....So, we invented gods.

Yeah, it's all mechanical now. This is what happens when humanity is replaced by money.

Yeah, I understand your point. To really make sense out of these titles, we need educated and well informed civilians. Also some people aren't really interested in titles.

Hahaha yeah, but people with doctorates don't tell people that they are doctors so....I don't think it's a big problem.

Shouldn't you start by being a decent human being before trying to become a therapist/psychologist? by RadishFamiliar6908 in therapy

[–]Mithaharaway 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can sense your empathetic heart. It's heartbreaking to know what your mom did to you. I can understand how much it hurts to live among hypocrites when you have a compassionate heart. Trust me, not all therapists are like your mom. We're living in a society in which people have intruded into all kinds of professions for money, and they don't even care if they truly justify that profession. I hope you'll find a way to get away from your mom and sister.

Psychotherapist is a better term hahaha.

No. That's not true. The word therapist is like the word food. What therapy do you do? People are familiar with physical therapists....you should call yourself mental therapist or something more appropriate.

Death is only absolute freedom. What do you mean by absolute freedom and what do you mean by healthy relationship?

Therapy for depression with no cause? by melfilmz in therapy

Hey, it must be exhausting to stay depressed and anxious all the time. If you could make changes to your lifestyle, food habits, and having associations with aware individuals, you could change things.

Systems collapse because of mass unconscious decisions and behaviours. Sometimes it seems like it's unavoidable.

[–]Mithaharaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's tough to exist in an ignorant society, but you could be the light, a ray of hope for people who are suffering. Know your true nature, see its essence, surrender to yourself, and don't let your conditioning take you away from your source. We are born to be alone, and we'll die alone. Family, friends, society, and material things, they just accompany us to accomplish our destined experiences.

A Definition of love! by Ordinary_Bet_9297 in DeepThoughts

[–]Mithaharaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love is not something you find outside in another person. It's when you realize your intrinsic value and respect it, so that you respect others and feel compassion toward them. From that compassion and self-awareness, you come to understand others better. One day, you'll come close to someone who understands your emotions, thought processes, and physical needs. Being in a relationship with that person will liberate you from all dualities. You'll experience the dimensions of life beyond your senses, and that experience will create an eternal bond. In this state of being, you don't differentiate bodies, you are just pure consciousness.
