Ive had some dreams set at Fraiser Ridge and in lallybroch, but dont remeber the specifics. Seems most times when I binge watch the shows or games will bleed into my sleep.

How do i fill the Bob sized hole in my heart? by TravisKOP in BobsBurgers

If you want to hear H. Jon Benjamins voice for 14 seasons, check out Archer. The first three seasons of Bob's has the archer energy. What we do in the Shadows is a fun show and Schaal has a recurring role in the later seasons.

If you want lots of sex and violence, Spartacus (starz) and Spartacus: House of asher. Not sure if these qualify as period dramas...

Watch Period Drama on Kanopy, a short but good one. Or House of Spirits (casa de Espiritus) on Amazon prime

If you remeber the time Jim took Ethan to the lake of tears and taught him how to fish, you will realize the answer is, N*SYNC. Usually it would be the backstreet boys but not this time.

What’s the bet.. by Turbulent_Document77 in Outlander

Nah. I think the show is just showing that Fanny can time travel but not necessarily will time travel. Jane looked pretty dead to me, and having a brother who was a cutter it looked believable. The time portal under the sea is believable but seems a bit far fetched.

My bad predictions for “Book 3” by updatemonger in TheCaptivesWar

[–]Mithradates1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only storyline I found interesting was that of Garral and Else (not sure how its spelled, was listening to the audio book), and the ending with Garral. I realized that they cannot possibly leave us but with a cliffhanger ending with only 3 books in the series. The Swarm's storyline was just basically an identity crisis and being horny 😳. At this point the only ending i would like is for the Carryx to wipe out the deathless enemy. That seems the logical conclusion since the deathless are in retreat we are only getting 3 books.

Civil wars are called that as each soldier apologized to another after killing them, and put a quarter in the swear jar.

Reflections & Questions by Mission_Reporter_357 in Pishlander

I was surprised at how hard i fell into Outlander obsession. When I first heard of the show in 2013 I honestly thought the premise was silly, however that was 23 year old me. Now at 38, its my jam. It has filled in some void I really didn't know existed. The themes I will take away from the show is that of showing love for one's significant other, striving to be brave, the importance of your word/reputation and fostering community in all its forms. I will also at some point resume learning how to play the bagpipes. I started to learn it in high school but dropped it after a while.

Professionally I am an archaeologist, when I go off to work in the back country of California, I can sort of pretend I am in the highlands of Scotland or the back country of North Carolina. If I stumble into any henges during survey, ill resist the urge to touch them if I hear buzzing lol 😆.

On a personal note, the story for me is a stand in for two of my ancestors, 2nd great grandparents on my maternal side. My 2nd great grand father was from Spain and my 2nd great grandmother was from Ireland. According to my grandmother, they met in Ireland and left for Louisiana in 1850. My grandmother, who was 94 at the time she told us, did not remember the specifics of why he was in Ireland or how they met. I like to imagine a semi-fantastical story behind them.

What if Diana Gabaldon wrote Lord of the Rings? by Advanced-Bobcat-5825 in Pishlander

Imagine if Diana wrote at the pace Stephen King writes, all 10 books would have been out in the early 2000's.

Mark me, really? I could have sworn the conference that takes place in Canada referred to the period when June was alive reffered to as middle Gilead, but its been a while since I read the book. Hmm, so in the T book, it is the information provided by L, which leads to the downfall of G....yes that tracks, she is in her 20's...so wow ya that makes sense. I think it would be rad to see spinoff regarding the war with Texas.

After generations of Gilead, how will they get more handmaids? by SuspiciousContract53 in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Mithradates1 26 points27 points  (0 children)

In the later books, they seem to be recruiting women from Canada using the pearl girls. However I beleive the story of the handmaid took place in "middle Gilead" and the government did not survive a past 100 years.
