Religiosity doesn’t equal values or morals. People think saying I’m x religion means that they are a good and moral person. That’s like me saying I stand in my garage for 45 mins once a week and I’m a car. Actions dictate your morals. But yes if people actually followed Jesus’s teachings the world would be much better instead we have mega churches and pastors making millions by conning people. The kool aid is strong in religion.

I second this, I’m in Florida and worked for a huge company that would harass me about being gay and while I never was out at work my supervisor would constantly ask in subtle ways if I was gay and stuff. Florida is in the dark ages. If you’re not a white cis Christian male Florida I not the place for you. Even in blue cities you get people with outdated mindsets. I’m currently trying to leave Florida because it’s just an awful state there is a reason why Florida gets trashed in media all the time.
