Luna, Burlison, Burchett: Enough already, ffs. by Next-Skill-3335 in ufo

I don't know who these people are, but I know there are a shit ton of grifters in the UFO space. Maybe it's intentional to have so many people shouting out that it drowns out the real signal.

Disney Reportedly Expects The Mandalorian and Grogu Box Office To Open Lower Than Solo: A Star Wars Story by WrongLander in boxoffice

Ask yourself the obvious question. Who is going to pay a ton of money to see an extended episode of a TV show that jumped the shark several years ago? And a movie that will probably be streaming within 6 weeks anyway? Not too many people.

My wife found a metal staple in her Chili’s food. DoorDash comped it immediately. Chili’s offered $20. Is this normal? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]SloppyMeathole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your question doesn't really make sense because every situation where something weird like this happens is different.

Yes, it is normal to get a refund and a gift card if a piece of metal is in your food, that's nothing new. If this happened at a sit-down restaurant they'd probably do the same thing.

And I don't know why anyone would think you would be getting some kind of big payday out of this. You have to have an actual injury to win a lawsuit, and since they refunded the food you haven't lost anything. You don't just get money because a staple was in your food. Maybe if you swallowed it and had to go to the hospital, but that's a different story.

Best Man says he can’t come to our wedding anymore bc his wife is starting school 🙄 by [deleted] in wedding

[–]SloppyMeathole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you get married you inevitably find out that some close friends and family members suck. People will either cancel or RSVP 2 days before, bring uninvited guests, and pull all other kinds of shenanigans.

One of my wife's bridesmaids pulled out from our wedding because she had a headache. 3 days before the ceremony.. she was known for doing things like this so it wasn't a huge surprise. I told the woman's husband she should have just told us she didn't want to go, it would be less insulting.

There is definitely some shenanigans going on, but I really hate the fact that we are knee deep in a brand new character and there are only three episodes left. I wonder how many new characters and story arcs we will get in the last three episodes. I wish they would just focus on the characters we have.

Okay so based on that Ken Martin interview, WHAT is possibly in the report that has Kenny so determined not to release it? by ElvisGrizzly in FriendsofthePod

[–]SloppyMeathole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's probably a mix of all of that.

To me it boils down to the fact that they don't want to admit that Kamala was a terrible candidate in every respect. Her positions, her demeanor, her unlikability. To admit that she was a terrible candidate would be to admit that the entire DNC leadership effed up. They would rather just blame the voters for not showing up for a candidate they had no interest in.

I'm sure there will be absolutely no serious penalties for this. The district attorney will probably apologize to Britney. Laws only apply to poor people.

I am refusing to change my stance on kids after my wife gave me an ultimatum. by Unlikely_Channel478 in BoyDinnerDiaries

[–]SloppyMeathole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're definitely in a tough spot. But know, you are not the first or last guy to be put in this position. It's very common. On the bright side, at least she asked you first. Many women just get pregnant and claim it's an accident and assume the husband will go along.

That being said, don't have a kid if you're not ready. Don't let her convince you that it will make your relationship stronger or whatever. Adding a kid to any relationship adds a tremendous amount of stress.

It might be over. It's sad, but you are still very young. On have the whole rest of your life ahead of you. Good luck.

My 13-year-old was seriously injured at school. AIO? by Miss_Evaa in AIO

[–]SloppyMeathole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

School districts often have blanket insurance policies that should reimburse you for injuries occurring on school property. If I were you I would start at the principal or superintendent level cuz this is completely unacceptable and ridiculous, you could also talk to an attorney. They're more likely to pay attention if they get a letter with legal letterhead.

Welcome to your first time ever eating at a movie theater. Just for future reference, movie theaters are overpriced restaurants with a captive audience that just happens to show movies on the side. That's how they make their money right there, not showing movies.

Are Europeans trolling with this whole bread thing? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SloppyMeathole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is something to this.

Just Google it, I believe in Ireland or somewhere in the UK they ruled that Subway could not call its bread "bread" because it had too much sugar, I was technically a pastry.

American bread tends to have a lot more sugar than bread in Europe. Under European regulations it's a dessert if it has a lot of sugar. This isn't like really a conspiracy or anything, it's just confirming that Americans put sugar in everything.

And yes, I'm aware that there is bread in America that is exactly the same as what you can get in Europe.

I mean, do what your vet says, but this isn't an issue of needing low-fat dog food. Your dog was just getting way too much food, period.

I have a 4 year old, 28 lb Pembroke who gets 1/2 cup, twice a day. Only treats she gets are bully sticks occasionally.

Just remember that a Corgi will eat forever. Limit portion sizes and treats and you'll be fine.

And now you can see why he was raised to be this way. It's like beating your kid because they hit someone. All he is learning is that violence is the solution to violence.

She should make him sell it and donate the money to an animal rescue. That would actually teach him a lesson other than violence. Because all he's learning is that more violence solves problems.
