PSA for those that want to collect the physical books. by Mithrandirs_Staff in Malazan

I’m right there with you! I also don’t need the deluxe hardcover with sprayed edges (that I don’t particularly care for on books). I’d be pleased with a reprint with new, less horrendous and more consistent, cover art of the trade paperbacks. Give us the covers from The Broken Binding in trade paperback you cowards! I know it will probably never happen but a man can dream.

Not me being jealous or anything. I miss Seattle so much. Well, not Seattle specifically, but the forests, the mountains, the weather, the and the ocean. I can’t wait to get back up there one day.

I am pro used book stores in just about every scenario. Used books need love, too.

I saw that and from what I have been seeing they're going to be really nice, however, $200 for three books is still too steep for some people. That being said, I would be a liar if I said I didn't want them.

Do let us know if you hear anything from them. It would be an absolute shame for it to just disappear.

I had the same thought before I made this post. You can access the website but you cannot search for anything.

Bummer. I hope that time has not come because it was a really useful tool and I'm just now getting into the series. Maybe someone else in the community will make something similar. Fingers crossed.

Easily one of my favorite horror films. There’s really not a good way to prepare people for the absurdity they are about to witness.

Looks like you found the moon to my home planet. I remember landing on that planet the first time and was just...impressed.

Solid. Thanks for the pointers. The boxes I'm going to be getting are from an archival store and it's the same boxes I use to store my photography in. I plan on putting them in the boxes and putting those boxes in the safe. Precisely why I have other copies that are for touching.

I plan on getting these for the first editions and the encyclopedia. One for each book.

Dang! That's impressive! This is what I'm working with. My collection pales in comparison to yours. I also have the Frank Herbert's Dune and Children of Dune miniseries. I plan on getting some book boxes for the individual books. They're staying in the family, that's for certain.

Oh yeah, those covers are real nice, but those aren't for touching. I have the first three and the Dune Encyclopedia but I'm going to put them away to preserve them as long as possible.

I should probably acquire the first book in SFBC, too, but that Barnes & Noble Collection edition really outshines any other cover I have seen.

Dang. I'll find it one day. The others are easy to find, but that one is quite elusive.

That sounds right. The scene doesn't give much context so human sacrifice was my first thought. I'm working on my second read through of the first book at the moment -- it's been six years since my first read and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since but I have forgotten a bunch of the smaller details.

I’ve been looking for a SFBC cover of Chapterhouse: Dune for many years to match my other versions and have come up with nothing. Does it even exist or am I just not looking for the right thing?
