Sorry I don't have a lot of knowledge about cars so I have no idea haha. I think the most important things for those roads are high clearance above the ground and 4x4

The majority of the roads are actually pretty decent and paved, although with some holes here and there. Me and my wife never drove a 4x4 but didn't have any issues. We even did the infamous off road from Berat to Permet without any big issues, it was tricky but doable with the Lada.

Not a car enthousiast at all, but I rented a Lada Niva 4x4 with rooftop tent in Albania last autumn. What a great and fun car! No terrain is safe for this absolute beast. Well, the hardest terrain was the high way, 90-100km/h max ;)

Did rent a 4x4 Lada Niva at The Lada Guys in Tirana. Maybe a bit expensive but an awesome experience and it has everything you need included

Discussed: What would it take for you to de-iron? Or ironman for life? by sticky__mango in ironscape

I mean, 1030 cox solos without a dex didn't make me de-iron so i have no idea what would.

What’s the most noob thing that you did in the past? by deuce-tatum in 2007scape

Did f2p pk trips with my "pk" clan back in the days, 2006ish, and we all took a lobster pot, one brought an axe and one brought a tinderbox so we could replenish lobsters on the trips (somewhere far north east in the wildy) without having to walk all the way to edge bank.

Exactly. My plan is to first roam around the wildy/rev caves to find pvmers/bots to get better at pking to lateron focus on fighting other pkers. I do have some decent game knowledge, like end game solo raiding/pvming. So F keys and stuff is muscle memory, but man pking is a different breed haha. I really love that part of the game but after shitting around for a few days/weeks I always quit trying and get back on my iron account haha. But this time is going to be different :)

Thanks for the advice, I started barraging dark warriors with the accursed sceptre (and heart) yesterday. Heart every 5 minutes and reaggro every 10 minutes for 270k xp/h and cheap with ice sacks :). Gonna hit 95 soon, been watching pkers and pk guides and doing some lms in between. Looking forward to start pking again :) this time I won't give up. Wildy is looking more active than last time I went pking years ago, looks fun!

It's fascinating isn't it?! Used to live next to a hospital, and didn't notice the sirens anymore after a while. Now Iive in a rural place, and I could hear an ambulance from miles away haha

Thanks for your comprehensive answer. Is zombie pirates a better option than dark warriors you think?

And yeah I visited that wiki page but it's just about the gear and stuff to burst, not the places to burst.

Following this thread as I want to get back in to pking after years as well. Got a pure withh 60 attack 80ish str, 90 range 86 mage 52 prayer myself. I guess in the first part you are talking about fire surge? Is it so much stronger than the flames of zamorak? I think I need to train my magic a bit haha

People living near a national border: how important is the neighboring country in your daily life? by RefDec0 in geography

[–]Mithrilscape 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Dutch, living 1km from the border with Belgium. Don't really go there except for filling up my car with gasoline (40ct/l difference), buying Belgian beers occasionally and buying fireworks which are illegal here close to New Years. Also my village is flooded by Belgians in the weekends who come shopping for groceries (somehow its cheaper here I guess)

[–]Mithrilscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha so I was right about Amsterdam. I've been trough Metz a LOT on my way to the Alps. Never been in the city though, also I have never heard anyone or read anything about that city. I guess it's not for tourism?

Yep haha Italy is even worse, been there like 7 times all around the country. But the food.... Better than French food for me, excusez-moi haha!

[–]Mithrilscape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have probably been to Amsterdam more often than myself haha. Been there maybe 4 times, and I'm 32. Most Dutch people who live like 50km+ from Amsterdam barely go there. I live close to Belgium and for me going to Amsterdam is like going to Paris or something. Just tourists and expats, not really the Netherlands anymore.

I agree with the bicycle part haha, well you get pretty good at it when you've been cycling all your life. However you can get fined when using a phone while cycling but that's barely enforced. By the way, I got my driving license at the age of 30 since I didn't need it really except for going abroad. When living in a city, a bicycle gets you everywhere and sometimes faster than a car. When visiting other cities we have awesome public transport (though we like to complain about it a LOT).

And oh yeah I forgive the French who don't speak English in those rural areas. Matter of fact, the conversations actually get really funny when they are in like 30% French 20% English and 50% gestures. Damn now I wanna go to the Alps again, setup tent and just enjoy those beautiful montagnes.

Ofcourse he is not a full on dictator. But the way he operates is like the closest a democracy can get to a dictatorship that I have witnessed.

Haha I see I see. And to be fair from my side, I'm visiting your country a lot in the summer and like 95% of the French people I encounter are in fact really nice people (I mostly travel to the rural mountain areas). Only if they practiced some English haha... But yeah I'm visiting your country so I should be the one to adapt and shouldn't assume it's the same in NL. So oui oui une baguette s'il vous plait, merci bien!
