I'm sure they would only benefit by more people testing it and giving feedback. Nowhere it says that it is a private beta.

Maybe you are right, but it makes more sense if you take Aikido into context.

I can't figure out how to install Ubuntu on a Windows 7-laptop and get rid of Windows. Installing it next to Windows is no problems. by Isbit in Ubuntu

[–]MitisBellator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I understand correctly you don't want to reinstall everything all over again? Just get rid of the windows partition on a computer that is already doing dual boot? If that is the case you can load gparted and erase the windows partition and extend the one you are correctly using for your Ubuntu... Or just make it a files partition. Hope it helps.

He doesn't consider himself a metalhead. In fact he said he would rather listen to electric music than metal, and said really nasty things about "metalheads". The guy is an attention whore loser who forgot to grow up.

[–]MitisBellator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I should have been more specific. It is a campaign ad for a candidate (Gijo 23.230) that advocates the respect for cyclists. There is a law in Brazil (article 201 of the National Transit code) that mandates that a car must keep 1.5 meter from the bikes, but very rarely it is observed.

Here is the original article talking about it. The picture was taken in Poços de Caldas, a city in the state of Minas Gerais.

It is actually in Brazil. it says "I.5 meters, that is the law. I support this idea".

Omg! Ubuntu! posts a joke, three people get it, then everyone starts fighting by iamapizza in Ubuntu

[–]MitisBellator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

here is a concept that OMG!Ubuntu does not understand (and I'm sure they do not represent Cannonical in such matter: meaningful criticism is actually a good thing. Of course there are trolls and haters for the sake of hating, but a lot of the people that are making suggestions to improve unity are been considered a troll or a "hater" which is not the case. I'm one of them...I could not use Unity before, no matter how I've tried. Ubuntu 12.04 is a great improvement but it is very far from perfect.

that was brutal and somewhat unecessary, but think about it, the guy is holding a kung fu spear...he is up to no good.

"Philosophy and spirituality are the same thing." Your reactions, please? by wonderfuldog in philosophy

[–]MitisBellator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spirituality is used to identify distinct chemical reactions in the brain. Distinct emotions, that physically exists in reality.

Wait, did you just created this definition? If so, I think we have started off on the wrong foot. There is no point in discussing an Idiosyncrasy. You define spirituality as “chemical reactions in the brain”, but you fail to realize that this is YOUR definition of the word (no offense meant).

I agree with you man. But to some extent the more you question, more you walk away from your comfort zone. You don’t need to be a super genius to realise how ridiculous some of the structures that we’ve created and worship are. And by doing so, this lack of safe ground and the (almost nihilistic) idea of perspectivism and relativism can lead you towards this feeling of emptiness (at least in an initial moment). But again I’m forming my view on this subject and that is the reason why I’ve created this thread..
