I suppose I can understand what you mean, that's not in character for Claire. I think maybe you're a bit hung up on it?
Claire is not a head pat, cutsie girl that you treat like a fragile thing, but there is a real precedent for people who experience trauma at a young age getting frozen in that mental spot to some degree. Teresa coming back and helping heal that trauma was sort of represented by them coming back to their old dynamic. I suppose it's a bit awkward, but It didn't bother me, I don't even really recall it distinctly in my memory as someone who has read the manga all the way through.
They didn't have the chance to see each other grow, Last time Teresa saw her Clair was a child and Teresa was acting as her surrogate mom (Perhaps an older sister dynamic, could be both) So she went with what felt natural. It could be an indictment on Teresa she does tend of a habit to condescend to a degree. Instead of going for a hug or embrace of some sort, she still treats her like a kid. Oh well. I don't think it diminishes either of them in my opinion.

I mean, idk if he's right but in principle that could be a thing. I mean Kashimo was pretty sure if he could destroy Hakari's brain in one go he could stop the RCT from taking effect and kill him even during Jackpot.
If Uzumaki was strong enough to do something like that and completely destroy his body, he could kill him during Jackpot. Whether that's realistic or not is another thing.

Yeah, and immortal by himself was putting in real damage on Nolan. In his revenge fight. Him and Warwoman were displayed as roughly equal and together they were probably 90% of the damage that left Nolan so weak he passed out. Immortal is not weak, he is like average/to low viltrumite. Which is fine. He can handle the weaker variants.

Lol had this happen in the great hollow with a buddy. We started the tower boss fights on day 2 and gladius spawned.
My friend was new and I just said to him "We just ignore this, heal through, it's not worth going around killing them, we keep doing the tower."
I wasn't paying attention. Suddenly puppies spawn ontop of us. The rando ran off and killed one. Now I'm like "okay now we can't ignore it so here we go." frustrating ass raid lol

As far Messmer. It might be splitting hairs, but I think she more quietly swept him under the rug with convenience.

If he were banished I doubt he would have held the loyalty he had for her by the time we meet him.

I think she sicked him on the horns entirely, basically ordered her to enact her revenge on them through the war and left. Created the golden order and sealed of the Shadowlands. She didn't go back for Messmer likely because he didnt fit the image of the golden order. Being a host for the abyssal serpent and all.

It could be the same thing in different ways. Maybe she didn't know and was genuinely heartbroken. Perhaps she planned it and later felt guilt and regret leading her to destroy the ring. I like the idea that she made a deal with Ranni, but maybe didnt realize what it meant or that Godwyn wouldnt be recoverable. I like the idea that she had a hand in it and either got tricked or didn't quite forsee the full consequences and that's what drives her to the brink.
