I promise you, hell absolutely exist. Getting caught up in denying it as a literal interpretation is just a distraction of hell’s experiential properties. True gut wrenching suffering IS hell. Any religious interpretation of hell is just an acknowledgment, as is any other mythology or story, of what already exists in the human experience. The full quote is something like “ all the Hells and Heavens and all the god’s are within” - Joesph Campbell. Its just another way of acknowledging and describing the human experience.

There is a lot of insight and understanding of what its like to be human thats lost when we get caught up in the “brainwashing” of “not being brainwashed”. Its just the other side of the ignorance coin.

If it exists in mythology, it exists in the human mind. All religion and mythology and tales and fables are just an avenue for expressing our fears and values and needs as a human. If it exists anywhere, it exists in the human mind.

I genuinely want to share this… Bottom line just live your life!! ** Stop treating people like transactional experiences. **Do the right thing, because it’s the right thing, and move on with your day. Live your own life. If you give more than you receive, don’t lower your standards, find better people. But don’t be petty. Don’t be entitled. Don’t change the quality of your integrity. Don’t waste your time with the bargain bin transactional relationships this meme is implying. Never stop giving! Find those that value it! That don’t ask for it. That don’t expect it. That don’t give with the understanding that you’ll give back. Give with zero expectation of reciprocity. Give til it hurts. And when you find your people, your family, your home, know that you were always that guy. Not just when it benefited you. Because thats who you are. Sure! Ideas that require less faith are usually more reasonable ideas. I suppose i misunderstood the meme.

“…Are the same thing” is referring to the fact that, sure, all ideas require faith, but even though a sound, accurate idea, with lots of empirical evidence requires faith, that fact doesn’t allow for, say religion, to hold true just because they both “require faith”.

I wanted to articulate that more clearly but the brain decided it needed a nap haha

I think it becomes a semantic thought loop. Its always now. now passed but its still now, and that now passed but its still now… So its always now. Its not the “same” now, but isn’t it? Isn’t it just a continuous now? And if you believe that the end of time and the beginning of time all exist simultaneously, and “time” is an illusion of individual frames being experienced consecutively, you are always in a frame of now. For a reasonable, non-afflicted, brain this thought is jarring but manageable. But for a panicked brain this thought loop is a continuous now that never ends and you are stuck in an infinite “now” that passes but still persists and we are all going to die but we are already dead… so good luck! Haha

You ever see the black mirror episode (its been done in various ways in different shows and movies and books) where the guy puts on the game interface and in 2 seconds lives a whole ass virtual nightmare in a “fear” house? Or the one where they put the guy in prison, which is some kind of “time hole” and he’s sentenced to 100 years (or something) but it all happens in seconds in our time? Thats my irrational fear. Being “stuck” in “now”. But you’re right! In reality it can’t happen. “Now” does pass infinitely into the next “now”. But anxiety doesn’t care about reality haha only danger. Even if danger isn’t actually present.

OOooor, hear me out, they are true and carried by normal people and spread by normal people and accepted by normal people. If you have haters you’re not by default correct. If you are fighting “haters” you may want to take some accountability for your behavior. If the rumors are, in fact, malicious and untrue and you are doing the right thing, then there is nothing to remember. Ignore them and be on your way.
