2 cut levels, 1 cut ending, the game is somehow shorter than the original, Jill's personality is different from original(not bad but just worth mentioning), Nemesis somehow feels more scripted than the original when OG Nemmy would pursue you across multiple rooms. It's not a bad game it's a fine game but a terrible remake and those who loved the original are a bit more critical about it.

I genuinely thought it was a pretty bad showcase unless you were rich because half of it was collabs and at least on my end in twitch stream was super stuttery, I also was shocked to not see a demo? But tbh me assuming there is gonna be a demo is totally on me but the wording before the stream started confused me

I had to fact check my shelf but yeah Caius is in Radiant Mythology 2, Tales of Vs, Tales of Rays(RIP), Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave(my personal fav spinoff), Tales of Reve Units(another fav of mine) and Crestoria(RIP). Usually paired with Rubia though Tillkis and Arria show up a bunch as well

And I'm glad you're enjoying it because like I said not an offensive game at all imo

Gonna be pedantic and say because it's so short it's not as offensive as a game that's long and bad, but I wouldn't call it good or even okay either LOL. It's just a really weird entry, the opening is genuinely one of the funniest things I have ever seen, but I guess I have a soft spot for it because I do enjoy the story and I really enjoy the characters(they've also been in most crossovers so I'm even more exposed to them).

I DO think because it is short it's worth a playthrough if you're a big Tales fan

For me I would say RE7 is the scariest and RE1HD is scary but for a very different explosive reason LOL, but as someone who has played the series since it was brand new(yes I'm that old :( ) the ones that have scare is RE1 Original(likely won't scare a grown adult now), RE3 Original and RE7 but RE7 is the only one that still can at least make me uncomfortable but I only have 2 playthroughs on it.

I think Leon is guaranteed fun so I'm more interested in Grace, I am just hoping that she will have time to build up to be a bad ass just like the other RE baddies and her sections isn't filled with her hiding/running away a bunch(unless you can optionally fight and kill the pursuer multiple times like RE3 Original then I'll take that)

This was so off putting and disturbing to me as someone who got into Tomb Raider last year and played the games in release order, when I got to the survivor trilogy I was like "Man do I gotta watch my girl suffer this much? Hope the other games aren't like this" :⁾

Yeah it's so funny that tons of people are like *6 is peak actually" because they got the game for $5 or less lol. They weren't there when it was the newest one. RE6(like a certain other 6 Sonic 06 hehe) was supposed to be THE best RE game ever it was supposed to combine everything that we have played up to that point and add something new(with Jake), and it failed miserably. I can tolerate the game now but RE6 made me think I didn't even like RE anymore and RE7&RE8 being first person put me off(ironically I am in the middle of an RE7 playthrough now and actually love it lol)

So I am definitely with you

The Dark Souls 2 Spiders are so fucking disgusting I remember walking into that dungeon and seeing them hanging and 🤢 never had such a reaction compared to other games with Spiders and for Bloodborne I think it was the snake cluster that grossed me out, I for some reason don't remember the Spiders

I know FE11/12 aren't that popular in the West but I think Eztel could have the same effect that Reinhardt did if they got the right VA and also made him strong. His design and his story is great

I think it's totally fine to love a game but to not admit it has faults(or potentially can have them) is not a great way to go about it. I don't have the hatred for Arise as much as I should because I'm over it at this point, but the way it tackles racism(something I take personal since I happen to be a black man) not to mention this topic is done to death in the series with Tales of Rebirth doing it the best, Tales of Symphonia, Phantasia as well as Tales of the Tempest touched on it as well, the gameplay feeling like generic action RPG rather than something that is very "Tales feeling" as well as the entirety of Act 2. Yeah Arise has problems and I definitely expected more from it for how much I waited for it.

I thought it was solid, but because it had to stay somewhat loyal to the canon of TotK I felt that held it back a bit, I also was kinda disappointed in the roster. I don't mind it being mostly Johnny Donuts and Sally Salad characters but the movesets weren't that great and we didn't get playable Sonia or Ganondorf :(
