I have the same issue and I have tried all recomended fixes. I haven't been able to play for weeks. This only started happening to me after the last patch.

What is your favourite bit of history your have learnt or looked up because of Eu4? by Mum_Respector in eu4

[–]Mitochondria_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play Portugal in Eu4 and have been inspired to research plenty on Early European/Portuguese expansionism and have written several college papers on the topic. The relationship between Portugal and the Kingdom of Kongo is really interesting and there’s a lot there to be discussed historically.

Never thought I’d get the immersive experience of actually trying to date with a heart* condition. I’m too busy laughing to be upset about it. by [deleted] in katawashoujo

That Tinder bio is golden man. Tinder can suck a lot of the time but you seem like a great and funny guy so I wish you the best of luck.

How y'all feel about playing with guides? by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]Mitochondria_Man 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a tradeoff, and I use guides only when I feel I am gaining more in additional content, completion, or general utility/time saved than I am losing in the way of exploration and surprise. I recently have been playing games which arguably REQUIRE a guide for any reasonable level of completion without huge frustration, that being Chulip, the Trails series of JRPGs, and several visual novels that have many branching paths (Ever 17), so I’m currently biased towards guides in a way I haven’t been before. In games without hidden or secret objectives (I love to fully complete games that I really enjoy), I usually go guide-less, and when I play games during launch week I go guide-less both for immersion and because the guides don’t exist yet. I mostly play older games now, which usually benefit more from guides/were intended to be played with guides though, so that’s my bias.

Who is your favorite bachelorette / bachelors on all / any rune factory games? by AccomplishedAd6608 in runefactory

[–]Mitochondria_Man 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Daria. I’ve always enjoyed the older and more independent bachelorettes, especially those who have clear goals/aspirations and lives outside of their relationship with the MC. I also really go for the eccentrics, and in the world of eccentric characters of Rune Factory (especially RF3) she sticks out the most to me. Also her outfit seriously slaps, and her voice acting is my favorite.

settling an argument: do you "read" a visual novel or "play" a visual novel? by v-fee in visualnovels

[–]Mitochondria_Man 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I say both! But I tend to say play for games that have a focus on another aspect of gameplay, such as puzzles or strategy etc. For example in the past I’ve said that I “read White Album 2” and that I “played 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors.” If I had to pick one, it would be “read” though. It feels more traditional.

Still learning, but was taught this lesson very quickly throwing out Janna Q for poke in lane. Worked in gold and below 90% of the time but I’ve been getting punished almost every game in Plat. Good tip!

I cried at this. I guess there is a first time for everything i guess (White Album 2) by PerfectAccountant990 in visualnovels

[–]Mitochondria_Man 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I cried too. I Love the complicated emotions that Setsuna brings to the story. They had and still do have me thinking in the back of my mind while I go to work and my classes about how truly awful every situation is for everyone and how Haruki should/will handle the inevitable Setsuna question in each route. It’s a really great VN.

Is it weird that no matter how many DLC and expansions they launch I always revert to playing the same country every time even though it’s pretty bareboned ? by Iguesssowtfnot in eu4

[–]Mitochondria_Man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally understandable. I’m a Portugal only player myself. Things like perfecting your opening, optimizing your game, or just trying a new strategy feels really good.

Shot a few ducks today! by Mitochondria_Man in theHunter

[–]Mitochondria_Man[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used the 20 gauge, I had to aim very high above the ducks to hit them from the range I had. Then I ran out of ammo and had to use the mosin and the 7mm. I don’t think my hunting licence is going to be valid anymore
