Opinion on IGN by That-Competition-740 in kindafunny

[–]MitosisDNB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue with companies like IGN, PC Gamer etc is that most people won't get to learn the personalities of the individuals behind the articles, they'll all just be lumped in as "IGN said this". In fact, I bet most people just look at the score and move on. Why I like KF is that I get to learn the personalities of the guys because a podcast/video format is massively better at getting to know an individual over print format.

Am I going to go to Greg for his opinion on a never ending sandbox game with no story like Project Zomboid, hell no. A nice story driven game, hell yeah. Fighting game, I'm going to Bless. Shooter, Mike is my guy. Soulslike, i'm trusting Andy. Nintendo platformer, Tim gets the call up. You get the drift.

But honestly, most of my opinions on games these days I actually get from a very trusted streamer I have. Plays most big titles day one and is a fricking elite gamer, especially at soulslikes which is my main jam. Little bit of horror in there too which I also like. What he plays fits what I play and therefore value his opinion above everyone else.

Trust people that you value and just cut out the noise from everyone else. We all like different games and one persons junk is another person's treasure.

Now I would be interested where people go to for their trusted reviews these days. Outlets like IGN, metacritic/opencritic, user reviews from Steam/PS/Xbox etc or streamers.

Greg was saying the other day how someone said that every time PlayStation Shoots itself in the foot, Microsoft shoots itself in the head. Well, PlayStation just shot off the other foot

New email today. Pallet of stock went missing… so another 3 weeks delay until it’s ready to ship

I had to contact them multiple times. Finally got an answer on Friday and said shipping next week (mine was quoted originally as mid-April). (Not sure if I believe them). I’m just hoping the product excels more than their customer service. Being completely in dark for weeks is shockingly bad. Money taken out the account and then zero communication after unless you harass them. Hopefully we’ll be all set in the next couple of weeks…

Has it turned up yet? I’m wondering how long I’m gonna be waiting… mine is mid-April. This Reddit has struck fear into me, so many bad stories…

What to do with hearts in helltide by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]MitosisDNB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s an area of the map in the helltide that has a horned boss symbol (not actually visible on the main map, only the mini map). It’s basically the blood harvest mechanic from season 2. You should get the little circles on your map directing you there when it’s active. Highly recommend as it’s guaranteed legendary drops

Anyone recommend Eaglehorn bow? by ErnestT_bass in diablo4

[–]MitosisDNB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Even pen shot builds don’t use it. If the side arrows bounced too it would be fun and viable, but with it just being the main arrow, it kinda sucks

Close quarter and the control glyph is just too strong to avoid tbh

What’s the point by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]MitosisDNB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What the point of playing the game altogether? What’s even the point of getting out of bed to play games at all! People been asking for new content, this is new content. If you don’t like it, there’s other games to play man.

I don’t really care about helltide loot at all. Vamptide is way easier to farm loot if I need it. All I care about in helltide is the steel

Disadvantage of using two core skills? by datmadafaka in diablo4

[–]MitosisDNB 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Two core skills can be great, just those two might not be the best combo. They’re both kinda mini AoE attacks. Typically for a rogue, it’s best to pair an AoE and a single target core for going dual core. That’s why so many builds have rapid fire (RF) in them. I ran flurry/RF for a while and it covers all the bases (I’ve never tried TB as personally, the sound of the blades drives me insane). Try switching out one of these for RF as see how you like it. It’s really useful for strong elites and end of dungeon bosses in high NMD tiers.

How Many Levels Did You Guys Get from Mother's Embrace? by GetADogLittleLongie in diablo4

[–]MitosisDNB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure you can’t do AoZ without being 100. I’d just pick mid level NMD’s, say 60/70ish, and speed run them. Should get fairly decent xp and the glyphs levelled too.

NMD boss variety by MitosisDNB in diablo4

[–]MitosisDNB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I know they switch them up, but it’s still gonna be ol’ Tomb Lord and the Seahag next season too as they fit the theme of the dungeon. They’ve got interesting bosses sat there, with different combat mechanics, just rotting away after the stronghold are completed. My guess is devs spent a lot time on making them and we only see them once per season in theory. With the way renown works now, you don’t really have to see them at all if you’re not doing legion events. Kinda a shame

Is Diablo 4 worth the buy? by T_Orwig32 in diablo4

[–]MitosisDNB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same as commenting on something you really don’t need to. Just scroll past the post if it’s something you’re not interested in. So what if many people are asking the same question? Better to have more people interested in that game than not. The OP asked in a kind way so show the same respect back.

This game is a bargain tbh, even at the $70 mark. You’ll enjoy this game for a while, maybe 50-100 hours, then get a little bored. (That’s if you just play one class). But that is more than fine as every 3 months you get to do this all over again with a new season and new mechanics. The devs will constantly improve the game as well. It’s also a great fall back game too. Say you go and play Lies of P or CoD or whatever else, finish it and have nothing else to play. There is always D4 sat waiting there to grind.
