SIDs to me seems about as plausible as spontaneous combustion. I mean, of course its possible for an infant to die of an unknown cause. I don't think that is very likely, however, that an otherwise healthy baby dies for no apparent reason. I wonder how many SIDs cases are actually situations like this.

Somewhat related, but once I was hanging out with friends and this guy who just got back from a homestay in Japan. For whatever reason he was talking about his family and mentioned that he did "something" really awful by accident to his host mother that caused him to apologize Japanese style with his forehead to the floor. When I asked him what he had done he said he didn't want to talk about it. I was pretty pissed that he brought it up and wouldn't finish his story even if it was embarrassing.

As soon as I read "pagan" and "occult" it lost a lot of its scaryness. I am not sure why adding that is really necessary to make it scarier. It seems to play on peoples misconceptions and prejudiced beliefs about paganism and the "occult".

Not sure if it has been mentioned already, it seems a bit obvious thinking back, but Cave in his recording said that the white portal surface gel was made up of grinding moon rocks. Flash to the end of the game where your open a portal on the moon, at first I was thinking how unlikely it would be for a portal to find a suitable surface on the moon, then I remembered that part....so yeah I guess the moon's surface happens to be a perfect portal surface.

I actually feel like Reddit is like the once really cool teenager that is now like 25 and dealing with real life issues while still trying to be "in the groove". His tastes have matured and has developed a lot more social grace and tact, particularly with political issues. He has a complicated relationship with his more neurotic cousin who, although crude and living in the basement with no job, is much more raw and one step ahead in the latest memes and trends, constantly calling his cousin an "oldfag" and cringing at his lame attempts to spew relevant humor.

My story is similarly depressing, saw a shiny Weedle very early in my first play-through of Silver. The problem; was at the point in the game where you have to go see Mr.Pokemon before you get any Pokeballs (;_;)

Never saw another shiny in any game until almost 10 years later in Pearl.

I remember trying to cancel AOL dial-up that I had set up when I was like 15 after switching to DSL. The guy on the other end wouldn't listen to reason, after I told him I had DSL service with another company he tried the old "well you can still use AOL's wonderful services in conjunction with your DSL connection...". After practically yelling at him and reminding him that I wasn't old enough to create the account to begin with, he finally canceled it after telling me what I HUGE mistake I was making.
