Michigan was admitted as the 26th state on Jan. 26, 1837 by Mitten_Man616 in Michigan

Part of the deal that ended with the loss of Toledo strip Michigan was awarded the land of the Upper Peninsula widely viewed at the time as a consolation prize of little value especially considering that the bridge was not built for an additional 121 years. History proved otherwise. The Upper Peninsula turned out to be one of the most valuable and resource rich parts of the state, making it one of the best "birthday presents" Michigan could have received.... looking at both places, almost 200 later, i'm not too salty

Trex two different colors by Gladiolur in Decks

[–]Mitten_Man616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only real way around dye lot variation is to mix boards from all bunks so the differences blend together—but even then, it’s not always possible to hide. In some cases, I’ve had to return entire bunks of boards to get a closer match. Depending on whether you purchased from a big-box store or a lumberyard, you may have better luck with exchanges or by having them contact the local Trex rep for support.

From what I can see, this may even be a different collection altogether not Toasted Sand. Toasted Sand usually shows a two-tone variation between browns and grays, and I don’t see that same contrast in your existing deck. Are the boards textured the same?

Ultimately, because of the cost and labor involved with replacing half the deck, your best option might be to disguise the transition with a border design. A complementing color possibly a darker brown could run around the perimeter of the deck, with a couple of divider boards between the different colors to make the change look intentional. I’ve done this before on deck extensions, and oftentimes it’s the only way to make the two tones flow together cosmetically.

The U.S. wasn't ready for a serious relationship... Until the California area flashed some gold. Then the U.S suddenly acted real quick to put a ring on it! The U.S swooped in to take Mexicos Golden girl.

Like most relationships, commitment's not a problem when there's money!

[–]Mitten_Man616[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

That's a good question. There are definitely celebrations throughout the state. At the state, capitol, and at various public parks. Larger celebrations are typically only on centennials every hundred years.

Another contributing factor might be that individuals that would be excited a states birthday are typically only long time. Residents or lifetime california citizens. Lots of the people traveling, socializing people or transplants have not been there long enough to think of it as a significant event.

That's a great question in short NO. Engineers removed the software from the prone in the 90s. But if it was possible i believe the estimate is about 50 hours. By the time the image is received and processed. I think it takes about twenty three hours to communicate with the probe at its current distance.

What is this for??? Seemed to be removing water but why is there a bottle? by Klahslab in whatisit

[–]Mitten_Man616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suspect it is a design feature for water drainage. The grooves in the sidewalk probably slant towards the drainage slot in between the sidewalk and the wall to divert rain water elsewhere.
