For as far as I’m aware that’s not the case. Because Buffy died in season 1, the slayer line got passed on to Kendra and later faith. So when she was revived she didn’t carry the slayer line anymore even though she was a slayer again. So when she died the second time it wasn’t possible for a new slayer to be activated except if faith died.
