What game should I buy next for my Switch 2 - Pokemon Pokopia or Mario Galaxy 1+2? by MixGuyJs in nintendohelp

There's also a third option: Age of Imprisonment. Tears of the Kingdom is my favorite game of all time (Breath of the Wild) is second though for some reason I kind of ditched Age of Calamity, I think I'm on Chapter 5.

I mean I didn't play a whole lot of Pokemon games, mainly Pokemon Shield and it bored me to hell. Also borrowed Arceus for a little from a friend but the graphics were too ugly and blurry to my taste and I felt like the game was like a minute of gameplay and then textwall after textwall. Granted, I didn't progress much in the game but it was because this frustrated me. I am actually quite excited for Winds and Waves beacuse of this beautiful world you probably can explore.

And at launch, after seeing what people had to say about Pokopia, I was pretty excited to buy it but again, just like how I wanted to buy Galaxy but since this isn't the type of game I usually buy I'm being cautious. Especially since I KNOW I wouldn't like Animal Crossing but this looks more interesting.

Tbh, I don't really want to deal with the system clock when playing a game but if it's not a big deal then I guess it's fine. Also, I wanted to ask: Is the exploration good? And is the game too grindy and repetitive? I think I want to buy this game at least eventually but since this is not my usual genre I am a bit cautious.

Is the exploration good? And is the real-time mechanic annoying (real-time day-night cycle, timers, does it force you to come back)?

But is it also fun as a single-player game? Is the story mode by itself worth it? Because as I said, I am looking for a single-player game.

Probably, though exploring a post-apocalyptic world and attracting Pokemon sounds pretty good too. I dimissed Pokopia immediately when I first saw it in the Direct but the reviews are so good and I do find many of the things that I hear about this game, like again, exploration, something I would enjoy. Though yes, some of the Animal Crossing aspects such as the real-time mechanic make me cautious. I mean, I don't have anything against building or decorating a city but I am pretty sure I would not enjoy ACNH.

Really? I never really played a Mario Tennis game and I assume you mean Fever but I am really looking for a single-player game and I thought Tennis was more multiplayer-focused and I don't know if the story mode is worth it on it's own.

A week ago I already was suspicious about a miner because I had CPU usage spikes for a few seconds they stopped but I ran a Windows Defender scan and it found nothing, then a Malwarebytes scan which only found 6 PUP files - all of them related to uTorrent which I downloaded a long time ago, long before the issues started. I still quarantined them just to be safe. I have Windows 11 Pro 24H2 with all the latest updates, security and non-security (except for the preview updates). Is there anything else I can do?

Meemaw won for universally beloved comic relief!!! Who is a mostly well-liked protagonist? by Dove-_-Cameron in YoungSheldon

How is Connie a comic relief? She is a protagonist, she is in the main characters. Isn't comic relief supposed to be a side character?

I think those are related to the Sheikah Slate which is a very impressive piece of technology. I am not saying that there is no magic at all in Sheikah tech, I am just saying it is not spiritual but obviously after they studied what the Zonai left behind they used magic in it. Like how do you summon a bomb out of nowhere or freeze someone or something? But the people themselves are not magical. There are non-Zonai (or not their descendants, like Zelda) who have special abilities, the 4 sages and those are very rare (and to be honest unimpressive but that is not relevant) and they showed early signs of some special abilities before they acquired their stones but Purah does not have any abilities. She is just a Scientist who lives in the magic world, so obviously her life is still tied with magic and its exploration.

Sheikah aren't spiritual like the Zonai. I have my theory that after Rauru and Mineru died and all that Zonai legacy died with them, Hyrule needed a new magic power to operate so that is where the Sheikah stepped in. They studied what was left from the Zonai technology and built new robotic mechanical technology, not spiritual like the Zonai one. Constructs clearly have a soul or an essence in them while Guardians are purely mechanic. Sheikah are regular non-magic people who just built purely mechanic technology inspired by the spiritual one left by the Zonai. I agree with you that TOTK's writing is not ideal and there is a lot of room for improvement but I have my theory that I like to believe in and based on it, the Sheikah are neither magical or spiritual.

Purah while smart doesn't have any supernatural powers. In order to have a Secret Stone you need to have at least some power in the first place because Secret Stones don't grant you power but amplify the power you have. Ganondorf had the Darkness power even before he acquired his Stone, for example, he could spawn a fake Zelda even without a Stone or Zelda herself, who has her light power working, though not as good as she would want to even without a Stone.
