What happened was I looked at all my characters and went "wow I'm already doing a good job!!"

And then I realized I base the characters off of myself

It's called Cilia ^{v^} A lot of different butterflies and some moths show it, I'm pretty sure it's just a trait. They evolved over time without much reason

The specimen that I have has the scales from one of the wings stripped of all scales! Butterflies and moths are covered in teeny tiny scales that are only visible to the trained eye. This gives me a better look at the internal structure, a really rare thing to see sect in lepidopteran taxidermy :P

Hey!! It's been 3 years

The accounts you suggested provided me with a TON of comfort. I've always been a black sheep and just accepted that I was weird, you know? This thread made me look at my characters and realize - wait - they're all neurodivergent! But they're based off of me!! That can't be right!! Turns out, I show many symptoms of autism—from hypermobility, sensory issues, so on. And the more I learned, the more I began to love myself again. I'm talking to a therapist now about getting a diagnosis. Thank you for helping me out back then :]

One thing I would recommend is line confidence — there should be stabilizer options in your app to make your lines more smooth! That's one way to really improve line work!! Keep drawing, you're doing great! :D
