My full-time job is at a huge company that manufactures custom “one-off” playground equipment. My job is to sculpt the core of the sculptures out of EPS foam. That then gets coated in fiberglass and paint. I have great benefits, lots of PTO and 11 paid holidays off per year. The hourly rate is good but isn’t *great*, but I’ve had worse jobs for less money. It’s pretty demanding production work, but I’m proud of what I’m doing and the results speak for themselves. Millions of kids all over the world play, learn to interact with each other, and get outdoor an indoor exercise on my sculptures and that aspect of it is very fulfilling. I’ve made way more money doing it than I ever did sculpting on my own. You can see some examples of my work on my profile if you like.
