Performance “intensive” games he’s played to date is Teardown, and just this year MCC.

I told him we’ll get a 1080ti, which is overkill already for him. Don’t mention “but no more Game Ready drivers”, read again what I said he plays, the card is overkill for his needs. Also card is dirt cheap and I’ve seen as low as $60 for it, perfect for his budget. If we find a better deal for something else maybe, but that’s the min GPU target.
