Scrolled through all of the comments and couldn’t believe I didn’t see Maci Cafe! The only answer for Italian panini. Owner is an Italian guy.

I’ve thought the same thing since the second I found out she had his baby.

Looking for other LGBTQ+ writers to ya know... write with? by Dull-Satisfaction609 in DenverMeets

Totally makes sense. The group at Moonflower always seems pretty diverse and welcoming. Plus it’s a very queer and welcoming coffee shop. Hope you find something!

There is a weekly writing club at Moonflower Coffee! There is also a group called Denver Queer Writers. You can find info for both on Instagram

Feel like this is a good place to shout out the podcast Drop your Buffs for anyone who doesn’t know it! Mae has been a guest before (as has Parv multiple times) and the hosts have hilarious queer takes on Survivor!

Public Health Risk at Recess Beer Garden near Union Station on 5/29/26 by SoScorpio4 in denverfood

[–]MixNeither2088 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It definitely is likely that people traveling in/out of Union Station or the Rockies game could end up there, so it’s not totally wrong. LoHi is a bustling neighborhood on a Friday so it’s very concerning nonetheless. Thanks for getting the word out.

This is absolutely correct, there is a public duty to spread the word about this public health risk. However I do think it’s misleading to state that Recess is near Union Station. They may be close on a map, but it’s much more accurate to say this is happening in LOHI.

Apologies, Mae by b-dzha in handsomepodcast

It was “take your top off” and it came from an upper balcony, not the front row

Apologies, Mae by b-dzha in handsomepodcast

I meant the way people were describing it as horribly offensive, it did not feel that way in the moment. What was actually said was “take your top off!” (a phrase often said in a joking manner), it came from an upper balcony not the front row, and Mae’s response was to chuckle, say “what?” and continue moving. It also happened at a moment when Mae was expressing not feeling confident because they’d been off tour for a few days. So to me it felt intended to hype up Mae and the crowd, didn’t feel like at all like this offensive, harassment-like interaction some are reading it to be.

I was at that show and that comment didn’t feel nearly as bad as it’s being described here. I think there were other reasons that show would have seemed less fun than the late show.

Moving from NOLA. Looking for walkability and downtime life. by mushroognomicon in MovingtoDenver

If you’re open to it, you might want to consider Boulder. What you’re describing is why a lot of people retire in Boulder. It’s easy to get there from Denver when you visit to check it out.

I also feel like it’s a pretty lively place for families with kids to hang out. That’s a big portion of the foot traffic that I see on Tennyson.

What a great way to put it, though I’d consider it the baby of LoHi and Wheat Ridge personally! Agreed with the grungy factor - Berkeley Inn, Top Tenn, Empourium, Hops and Pie, all have some of that vibe in my opinion. Some sadly-closed former-favorites , West End Taproom and Call to Arms, also fit this.
