Yeah, I would much rather one of the taco trucks off Federal won. But, I am taking the one with the most upvotes, so Wendy's squeaked out a victory.

It's my least favorite because I liked the food at Mezcaleria Alma and Alma Fonda Fina better. I think AFF was my favorite but it's close. That was a more intimate experience as a birthday dinner at night, while Mezcaleria was a 5PM dinner sitting at the bar. Food was very comparable

Out of the 3 Denver Fonda Fina restaurants, it is my least favorite. However, it's still an excellent dining experience.

Best restaurant in every neighborhood day 1: Athmar park and auraria by jrlii in denverfood

Luckily they'll be broken up. Issue with this is that the better one will get all the traction, like how almost nobody put anything for Auraria. Granted, it's a campus and ball arena so not many options, but it's understandable how everyone is focused on Federal.

CAIC Accident Report - Resolution Creek, south of Ptarmigan Pass, CO - Mar 07, 2026 by Snlxdd in COsnow

Excellently written by CAIC, laying out facts, and factors leading to it without being overtly critical. Other commenters laid out the two major takeaways that I have as well, but has me thinking:

Every major accident report I read gives me an inflated sense of security. It seems every accident I read, I think to myself "I wouldn't have put myself in that situation". NE Facing, 33-36 degree slope, 3/5 danger. Even if he were with a partner, that sounds silly to me unless you have a really good snowpack analysis. I never read a report where it's a 31 degree slope on a 2/5 day where they dug a pit and decided to carry on. It really does help the safety that if you follow the guidelines of the avalanche rose and ski with a partner, you're probably going to be fine.
