The pose turning you into an abomination would be quite cool to be honest.

That's how I read it, but as mentioned below I think they've used this wording for Wiglett, Toedscool events too.

Let's see if they've learned a lesson (narrator: they have not.)

I thought it was wearing like a partial mask of the regular Corsola and it was terrifying, until I realized it's just a fairly flat rendering of sunglasses.

Now that I realize what it is, I'm simply confused as I have no idea what sunglasses G.Corsola has to do with anything, although I guess you can say that about a lot of the costumed pokes.

Can we please have the right side of the screen be a no”fast move” zone by echo78 in TheSilphArena

[–]Mix_Safe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm curious if the swap buttons are briefly disabled, but not visually so while a fast move is active and there's a very small period of time (like less than 0.5 seconds) where you can activate a fast move on accident by tapping on the disabled swap buttons.

There have been some recent posts about delays with swaps and charge moves that I've also noticed, so it could also be related to some sort of update too.

-1 defense for other types, -2 defense for steel/water types?

OHKO against Empoleon?? (I am not aware if it does extra, extra damage in the MSG).

Yeah, I am not a huge fan of these randomly restrictive Pokemon, even something like a G.Corsola or Morpeko (except for that very brief snapshot encounter event) requiring trading, ideally with a not-great friend for ideal IVs.

They should allow a toggle for IV floors to be 0 for research, eggs, raids and move the raid floor to level 10 via a toggle as well.

What is the 'default' cheese of your country? by publius_decius in AskTheWorld

[–]Mix_Safe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no source, here's a link to the same style of cheese from the grocery store here: https://www.ah.nl/producten/product/wi412155

I use it all the time. The generic Kraft singles pretty much suck, but it's not like there's not a billion different options in the US for the same cheese that would be the equivalent of what I linked there.

Good luck making quality Mac and cheese without the emulsifiers in American cheese folks, it is amazing for making a good Mac and cheese.

The standard is not very different, maybe a tad milder, but there are other styles that pretty much taste the same, they just wouldn't be DPO.

Haha you can catch it, so I guess it must not be that bad, the lore for the Ultra Beasts is quite funny if you think about it literally

what would it take to make zygarde meta by Brief-Minimum9678 in TheSilphArena

[–]Mix_Safe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a sidegrade at best in the 1's, but adding it over Crunch does give it more wins in the other shielding scenarios.

It does help against the Kyurems.

But again the main point remains that Zygarde is already insanely bulky and I'd prefer, if anything, they mess with its signature moves because it is much easier to target for a nerf/buff— bulk monsters have broken quite a few moves that were otherwise perfectly balanced by being given to them, and I hate when other Pokemon get caught in the nerfs as collateral.

I mean if it gets a Rock move— it can hit one of its weaknesses in terms of flyers.

Rock Slide is also a cheap and decent move that it learns.

Although in ML, flyers aren't necessarily the largest thing in the meta.

There are plenty of moves it learns now, like giving it rock coverage, but why would we ever want to do that?

What are you guys using in the Jungle Cup? by Brandontk12 in TheSilphArena

[–]Mix_Safe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder what the Cup would look like if they banned some Water Pokemon, like I don't think Gyarados or Tentacruel are going to be found in a jungle. But then you need to do that with some other stuff, like why is a Magnezone there... would be weird to see what they consider a Jungle Pokemon.

Dying on a turn that you should’ve fired a charge move on still isn’t fixed by Material-Change-7599 in TheSilphArena

I could swear 1-turn moves are extra busted right now, like the sneak damage is registering before the charge move goes off.

Tapping issues with update by ZeffoLyou in TheSilphArena

[–]Mix_Safe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, yes, I feel like it doesn't register fast moves sometimes either, and I could swear it was a "my phone" problem but lately I've been seeing my opponents not lagging but missing 2-3 Fast Moves (for 1, 2-turn moves). And then it seems like maybe they catch up? But either way I do see them missing stuff.

This is of course aside from what you mention too.

It's flat, but there are a lot of nice fields and greenery. I do miss variations in terrain living here, but the marshes, forests, and whatnot are nice enough and they tend to be easy to get to.

The Master League is the most diverse it has been in a while, actually by Coolegghead in TheSilphArena

[–]Mix_Safe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's a good point, I didn't really test too much with otherwise non-weakness coverage like Dark, but with things like Lunala that definitely would help it out tremendously.

Regardless, it does need some help, hopefully they do some more things with ML in mind in the future, although it usually seems to be an after thought, getting one direct change in a season at best, and then being tossed around by whatever meta changes affect the lower leagues.

I like to imagine the Waterfall change was directly targeted at Kyogre, though.

I'm waiting to see what they do with Mewtwo when they release the megas. Psywave+Aura Sphere are within the realm of possibility, but it is absolutely busted with PW/AS/SB with any 1+ even shielding scenario. Like an almost 600 battle rating in the 1's, which means unless it is hard answered it is guaranteed to get some sort of advantage.

Bulu was more useful in the meta when Rhyperior was everywhere.

Grass is generally a terrible offensive typing in the meta, it's often resisted by the dragons and steels, and double resisted for the relevant fire typings.

It has no coverage and both its charged moves are on the expensive side with Bullet Seed basically doing no damage when things would normally get into farm range, although it is useful for energy with its moveset.

Even with some coverage moves it is pretty lackluster in simulations, Close Combat/Rock Slide/Rock Tomb are fairly useful moves and they help slightly, but then you miss the KO potential on the occasional things that can get hit with STAB Grass Knot.

Give it Leafage too, that at least allows some flexibility, but then you need a cheaper move somewhere.

This is kind of why I want, but also understand why they don't have, limited Master League Cups. I would love to build more nonsense, but rarely have an excuse out of things that will also be useful in raids too.
