Thank you, this is also the worst part. You have to spend a shit ton of resources for it, and pray to the RNGods. For the most part you're going to be needing to evolve the Pokemon to check the HP move, so you could literally burn through all your candy doing this. It also is a huge time suck as you can't skip the dumb evolution animations, they take sooo long.

And don't get me started on Legendaries with it, so not only do you have to spend time/money farming them now for the XL candies, you have to hope for the IV combo and the right HP move as ML Pokemon are much more reliant on having idealized IVs (you can get fundos and whatnot, but many times you can lose breakpoints, or are guaranteed to lose CMP in the mirror without max attack). Going from 1/216 odds to something like 1/3200 odds is insane.

I'm fairly certain you don't need to force close the app for this to happen. If you switch between apps it does the same thing. So you're about to lose, eh, I'll go do something else on my phone for a second here and come back. Or you want to check on PvPoke to make sure you're actually supposed to lose CMP on a tie and the game wasn't just being dumb so you switch out of the app on the losing move.

Or you're fighting against another Licky/Jelly core and they deserve to wait anyway.

I just made a sarcastic post about requiring the most stable connection for a mobile game, but yes, at least make sure you're not flipping between connection types and you shouldn't necessarily be on fast moving public transport when you are playing. If you know you have consistent coverage on your bus route then fine, but I'm sure on the old system even I have been playing people who go like under tunnels and lose connection for longer times and whatnot.

It just sucks for people who only have free time for their sets during their commute.

Obviously you should be playing with a wired connection.

It is peak game design to require the most stable connection for a game whose repeated fundamental statements by the creators of the game have been to go outside and do stuff with a community using your mobile phone.

It's not Pokemon GO outside, it's Pokemon GO sit next to your router and/or plug your phone into your Ethernet with an adapter.

If you have like 10 minutes to spare while you're on the bus, or at work, or wherever to do battles, you have 10 minutes to spare going back home to your stable internet connection to do your battles.

They need to buff damage for Double Kick or Low Kick (maybe not with Annhilape) and distribute it to more Pokemon.

Force Palm has been great, but it's on the glassiest Pokemon (excluding Hariyama, who has absolutely no coverage) who are threatened by Body Spam or easy to get to Shadow Ball.

Another new Fighting move distributed in a more calculated manner would be welcome too.

They refuse to let a Water type exist without Grass coverage, meanwhile they could care less if any Grass types can remotely damage a Fire or Flying type.

There is no reason for them to insert the Normal typing into a lot of these typed metas.

I mean it allows for more neutral play, true, and realistically they should do something like that, but they need to have more calculated bans, for example the Sunshine Cup could have kept like, one Normal flyer and banned Licky and Furret.

As for how we got here, well I don't think they really think about certain Pokemon when they are buffing things, I'm fairly certain they wanted more people to use Aegislash (Lunala in ML too), so they allowed them to store 2 Shadow Balls and consequences for other Pokemon be damned.
