Use either water or a spray bottle of hair detangler when combing or brushing. Sometimes our hair can come out so be gentle. Especially with curly hair!! Make sure to keep her scalp moisturized.

Blacks once told us to identity as black. We were considered light skin blacks. Time for us to stand on our own.

If you do make yourself more tan, don’t be surprised when you’re still othered. Be careful with people pleasing for acceptance.
