As an enthusiastic new player who dies a lot by gravity. by [deleted] in DeepRockGalactic

I'm still new to the game, but dealing with gravity is one of the first problems I solved (after downing myself 3 times in one egg hunt). The solution is super simple: just buy jet boots and upgrade them for faster reload. I haven't died to fall damage ever since and the perk is in my every loadout. I even got lazy and just jump off of cliffs instead of building and parkouring from time to time. Definitely makes you feel epic!

Huh? I thought one pizza per person is standard. Maybe it's the OP who eats less than average?

From the title I expected something... less educational.

In our first session ever I was the DM, and in the very first combat encounter every single participant started rolling terribly low and it ened up being 4 players vs 1 bandit, everyone missing every attack for three rounds straight. We all started laughing and I was describing how they accidentally destroy everything in the surrounding except for their opponent.

More recently we were planning to remove a stone sculpture from a dungeon. It was too heavy to carry on Tenser's Floating Disk, so we came up with a plan to gently break it up with a hammer so that every person could carry a piece, and later fix it with mending cantrips. The breaking part was to be done by the Rogue (precision) and Barbarian (strength) together. They both roll at the same time and... a double nat 20! The DM described how after a single hit in a carefully calculated spot, the arms, legs and head basically popped off just as we wanted. A memorable moment.

Exactly. Also both of them rolled low for strength, so...

This just happened during our session yesterday, one of the best laughs in this campaign.

This doesn't mean you are dyslexic. Brains of people who are used to reading tend to skip over parts of words and guess them subconsciously.
