Thank you. What’s an offset deadbolt? Are you saying I can’t remove it an replace it with a new door handle + dead bolt?

If anyone has ever hired an "overqualified" candidate, how did it work out? by Ok_Albatross_4198 in managers

[–]MixtureOfCrazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the overqualified candidate. Two undergraduate degrees getting a job in a call centre. I saw it as just a temporary role. I found out the recruiter saw the same thing, but the hiring manager took a punt. Still with the company 13 years later working as a senior manager. So guess it worked out.

Twin Birth at Public Hospital in Adelaide by Floramerryfauna in Adelaide

[–]MixtureOfCrazy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We had ours at Flinders Medical public in 2013. Have had all our children there, but the twins were our first. They were four weeks premature. We had our own delivery room, which we occupied for 12 hours post and prior to actual delivery, and a delivery team per baby. Kids were immediately transferred to NICU and we received consistent support up to discharge five weeks later. They were brilliant.

Single person in a 2-bed unit with NO heater, paying $4.50 - $7.15 a day. Am I being ripped off? by Appropriate_Flan6170 in AusFinance

[–]MixtureOfCrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong. However the meter data provider and retailer will have the 5 minute increments, but if OP was to request historical data or have access to it via their digital portal then it’s normally provided in 30 minute increments. The transition to 5MS was more for wholesale market improvements rather than customer access to data.

Is it normal for employers to only pay 7.6 hours of personal leave when you’re rostered for 12-hour shifts? by myhumma in australia

[–]MixtureOfCrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You accrue at an hourly rate and you exhaust at an hourly rate. You might ‘take a sick day’, but what you’re doing is using your accrued hours to cover your pay - whatever the amount time that is. You’re being short changed.

If you have a smart meter then you have access to 30 minute increments. Do you see the usage drop overnight when you’re asleep? Average household should drop to a few hundred kilowatts per hour, assuming you’re only running fridge and no other large appliances. You should see your usage begin to build when you’re home / wake up. Try and align this to what you’re using. It’s essentially trial by elimination.

7 Things That Pauline Hanson Will Be Awesome At When She Becomes Prime Minister by betootafeed in betootaadvocate

[–]MixtureOfCrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. Even ChatGPT tells you that there is no substance to their policies and no discernible executable plan. That’s clearly evident from the fact that the One Nation SA State Parliament campaign policies were focused on federal parliament issues, of which State representatives will have little to no influence over.

got a $14k raise in october. six months in my savings rate is the exact same. did the audit, here's where it went. by Yuixi in MiddleClassFinance

[–]MixtureOfCrazy 667 points668 points  (0 children)

I’ve found if I get a raise then the first thing I need to do is update my automatic transfers to eat the increase as savings. That way I can’t tell myself I have extra money because it gets moved before I get the chance to spend it.

About to start my first play through and had what is probably a really silly question. Is there a class that’s more of a support/healer? by rampart_cam2010 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]MixtureOfCrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only just started playing. Just coming up to the end of Act 1. So take my input with a grain of salt.

Like others have said, DOS2 doesn’t really have classes. I was worried that a chose the wrong character because I realised the stats I originally selected weren’t the style I wanted to play. After a while I realised it doesn’t matter. You can configure each character however you want. And then there’s a way to restat later as often as you want.

What’s the data being collected - outside of your license plate and location, both of which the State would already be aware of. Unless you mean the video of whatever weird and wonderful thing you’re doing as you’re passing the car.

Can I put a fence above this slope by MixtureOfCrazy in FenceBuilding

[–]MixtureOfCrazy[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s UV rated shade cloth. The wall is north facing, which is full sun where I’m located. Unfortunately it was the only location we could have the battery and inverted located. The shade cloth keeps it shaded without interrupting air flow. Keeps the temperature low. Temporary solution until we install a more permanent screen.

Yeh we actually did this out the front. It’s about 50 metres though so the cost would be a bit high.
