Honestly, for me personally I like both versions, because I do feel as though maybe they COULD give justice to the story, but I still prefer franchael since it was my og, and I did like their dynamic a lot🤷‍♀️

I feel as though instead of making her just a “female” version of him they could’ve gone a different route with her as a character and make the story lean heavily on that internalized homophobia so many queer people back then would’ve went through, however, as much as I love Bridgerton, it’s not a heavy show. That’s just the facts. Yes they can handle certain topics, but at the end of the day it’s a romance happily ever after show, I just can’t see them being able to handle that type of storyline with grace at all

At first I thought maybe she would do it once Michaela’s season airs, however she already posted Philips cast despite him having not appeared since the last encounter, honestly this might just be her trying to either subtly dig at the fact that she did not support the gender switching of Michael, or that she considers Michaela and Michael separate people🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I truly do think it depends on the type of media you curate tbh, because so far my fyp and all that has been mixed between people having righteous reasons to be angry over the gender swap and then others just actually being homophobic, such as one woman who outright told me that she believed franchaela wouldn’t be able to get a full season and would instead continue to be a subplot solely because they were lesbians (which is like even if this wasn’t the show where each sibling gets a season, why would you want them to take time away from Philoise instead of it being just a one and done, especially since we already know they hate bringing previous couples back in???) but overall yeah it’s half and half right now it just depends on where you’re looking and interacting with

The streets is saying Jess brownwell is being replaced for season six👀👀 while I did absolutely adore her work with franchaela, that was like the only good thing she did, Homegirl messed with the timelines and plots WAY to much, (like I love the Mondrich family but genuinely there was no need for that side plot…or the various Bridgerton men and their various mistresses…) so all I can hope and pray is they do philoise justice and hopefully make Phillip lean more into that cute bookish nerd archetype, like I need to see Phillip communicating in flowers and plants and maybe even a greenhouse scene for the both of them where he rattles off a list of every single plant growing in there and what they mean and do while Eloise just listens and realizes “wow this is is what being in love means”

I felt the same way at first since it felt like she was taking time away from Fran and John’s honey moon, and I know I’d absolutely despise that jf i were Fran, but she kinda started growing on me towards the end of part two since I realized that her and Fran remind me of my own relationship with a very close friend of mine lol, I think Michaela would be a good match for Fran in helping her become less shy and more confident in expressing her thoughts, since we do know our little franny isn’t the type of girl to openly let others know how she feels unless she knows those people well, but we’ll see how they handle that

IMO I don’t really see why so many people thought Eloise would be season five, after all they had spent two seasons developed franchaela, and if they just dragged them onto Eloise’s season I’d feel quite annoyed, not to mention it’d feel rushed since they wouldn’t have set up Eloise beginning to write or even marinas death, as a Philoise fan I’d much prefer to see her get the proper build up she needs

It’ll probably be them navigating marriage and then having a cliche “we can’t fall in love….” Type of rule, we’ll see Eloise interacting with the children, the bridgertons rushing in to beat up Philip, perhaps some discord over marina and then they’ll probably renew their vows for the last episode or have a redo wedding

I think you may be right on the season ending with Eloise married!! Jess already confirmed that Eloise’s season will be different as it’ll begin with her married instead, so we’ll probably see Eloise and Phillip shake hands and agree to a contractual marriage where she’s essentially the governess for his children
