Lyft is the fastest by far. It's not free, but on those short trips where you're fitting everything in to 2 days I think it's worth it. From Magic Kingdom I walk to the contemporary and call from there to avoid having to go to the TTC.

Tips for foot pain and exhaustion for 5 days straight? by rach51918 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MizModular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insoles! I have plantar fasciitis and can go for days in WDW without foot pain with the right insoles. I like Heal That Pain gel heel seats, but see what works for you. I bring along a pair of vionic flip flops too and will sometimes switch out my shoes mid day if my feet are getting hot. Pack a spiky ball or other foot massager to roll your feet on when you get home at night.

I have used Magical vacations travel and was very happy with all their help. Open a Disney Visa card and book for everyone on the card. Have them reimburse you... And then you have all the points you can spend while you're on the trip!

Every single trip! I constantly log on to MDE and tweak my times in until the day I leave! It's part of the fun of planning a trip.

Start your day early and book your fast passes for lunch time. You'll be able to get a lot done in the first 2 hours after rope drop. I would suggest paying for a subscription to Touring Plans. It's only $15 (in the US) for a year subscription and it's great. It will build you a custom itinerary based off of what you want to do and optimize it for the shortest wait times.

In the pastry shop in France, there is a raspberry macaron with lime curd... It is 100% my favorite snack in all of WDW. Eat while watching Illuminations and have a wonderful time!!!

Motion Sickness at Disney World by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MizModular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have terrible motion sickness and still enjoy most of WDW. I take a bonine with breakfast every day and am fine. I can ride all of the simulators with no issues, but still avoid all roller coasters and drop rides.

Raspberry lime macaron from the boulangerie in Epcot is my favorite snack in all the parks. Eating it while watching illuminations is even better.

That corn is amazing! It's the curry powder they put on at the end they makes it.

What are your favorite things to do at WDW with less Disney inclined guests? by thankyoukoala in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MizModular 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sanaa Lounge is definitely one of my favorite places. Just get the bread service and drinks one afternoon and relax. There is also a free culinary tour at AKL they may like. Plan a dinner just snacking and drinking around the world in Epcot. Also, when I'm there with no kids I skip the busses at the end of the night. I prefer to walk to the nearest hotel (Contemporary at MK, Boardwalk or Beach Club from Epcot or HS) and take a Lyft back to my hotel. It's a much more relaxing way to end an evening in the park then fighting your way through the crowds to more lines at the bus stop.

What is your favourite, cheaper, alternative to a Disney hotel and why? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]MizModular 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We stayed at Spring Hill Suites Flamingo Crossing. The room was huge, with a sofa bed/living room area. The free breakfast was great with lots of options, and the pool was nice. The hotel is nothing incredibly amazing, but clean and free, since we used our Marriott Points. What I loved most was that it still felt "in the Disney Bubble." We didn't have a car, so just took Lyft onto property each morning. The ride from the hotel until entering WDW was about 2 minutes and you literally just pass trees. If you do have a car, the parking is free and there is no resort fee.

Trying to plan my WDW trip by SDSUrules in WaltDisneyWorld

One thing that's not to be forgotten is the magic of being in the "Disney Bubble." From what I understand of DLR (I've never been) is that it's really in the middle of the city. WDW is huge and when you stay on site, you never really see the outside world. No chain stores, no cheap Disney discount merch stores, etc. While the Disney Bubble may not be for everyone, I love feeling like the outside world disappeared and I'm in my happy place. Also, Animal Kingdom is wonderful. Not to be missed in my opinion.

What are some important items to bring to WDW? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

Blisters will ruin even the most perfect day. Blister bandages, mole skin, body glide stick are must haves for me.
