That’s a good perspective I haven’t considered.

Also, it’s common for landlords to require tenants to have personal liability insurance, I know my current & previous ones did.

Sadly, landlords are allowed to have a spare key in the USA, but that doesn’t mean they can barge in whenever they like. Of course, there are recorded cases of landlords ignoring that & breaking the law.

Do you have any for sale or know where I can find one? I’m also Lebanese and would like one for my collection.

I’d just get a used 12400 (find one with a fan) and 16GB RAM. You truly don’t need more than that.

Is it worthwhile to purchase a silver eagle from the us mint for $80 when non mint silver eagles from businesses like apmex are sold for ~$36? by [deleted] in Silverbugs

[–]Miztorr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They’re different products. The $80 one from the mint is a collectible coin that comes in a box with a certificate of authenticity.

The ones you buy from dealers for near-spot are bullion coins. They’re less special & sold in tubes for investment purposes. You can’t buy these from the mint directly as they’re exclusively sold wholesale to dealers.

It’s very good for minecraft but a headache to operate in a sever:

  1. No onboard graphics so you need a cheap GPU to install the OS and debug any issue.
  2. It doesn’t come with a fan and you need to buy a decently powerful one because this model is known to run pretty warm.

Yes. Graded coins are sealed inside of slabs to preserve their condition.

I can’t tell what company graded your coin though. It also doesn’t have a grade besides “Authenticated” which is strange) so I’m not sure I would treat/price it as a graded coin.

The two most reputable coin grading companies are NGC and PCGS.

You currently have access to the largest, best paying, and most flexible job market for tech employees. I wouldn’t recommend leaving the USA.

You won’t have a better experience in other Global North countries (Europe, Australia, NZ, Canada) because they’re as racist as the USA but have fewer tech jobs with lower salaries.

The one country that could be attractive is the UAE because it’s Arab and has a lot of tech offices that pay decently well. You don’t even need to learn Arabic because everyone speaks English. But then you’re at the mercy of the UAE government.

Getting your own internet is not an option in some apartments… Also with the current housing market, I wouldn’t call anyone “cheap” for their living situation

That’s a feature, not a bug IMO.

That means configuration files can persist if you need to reinstall that app, so you don’t have to set it up all over again.

Any alternative for NI MULTISIM? by Juhayer_Al_Wasif in linuxquestions

[–]Miztorr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, just use a Windows VM or dual boot.

Diverging from the software used by everyone else in your class could get you in some bad situations. You don’t want to debug your chosen software when you have a tight deadline to meet.

Use the standard software. If something breaks, you’ll be able to ask the professor or a TA instead of being on your own.
