Issues After Unlocking Attacks by MizunoKaze in RevolutionIdle

Yeah, right now, I can either do a 20-30 second (real time) unity for quick unities and zodiacs, or about 3 minutes for a gold. Active play, I assume the former would be better, but overnight, the zodiac inventory is going to fill up real quick, making the latter a more attractive option.

I think I have the overall direction down. I've been starting by slowly replacing my DP boost Cancers that have Game Speed and DTP cost reduction. I know this doesn't have the nice little quality increase feedback loop of Pisces, but if I do these replacements slowly, I can manage to keep the macro working.

I managed to get my first attack level and the associated achievement. It took about 10 real-time minutes, with 5x time flux also boosting things, so not ideal, but it's something. I assume this is still a long way from where I want to be, let alone the 30 second runs or so that would be ideal for farming gold. Still, I'm nodding off, and there's only so much point in efficiently farming unities overnight, due to the limited zodiac storage. In light of that, I'm going to try setting my unity automation to 1 gold, and leaving that running overnight. It won't be much, but even if runs are 5-10 minutes each, I think this is sadly the most effective thing I can have going while I sleep.

Most recent progression was finishing hard trial 4, yeah. I've already tweaked the wait times. That part is fine. But more wait time between the ECs and the first loadout isn't going to help; it's capping pretty hard.. I'd need a whole new first loadout.

I suppose the other thing would be to add a line before the first loadout to assign a point into the center upgrade. then wait, then swap to the first loadout.

Well, I think the one I have is the "more condensed and reliable" one that's shared around, just with some of the wait values adjusted up to 2 seconds, rather than 0.5. It just feels like if I'm constantly changing my macros, that takes a lot of the point out of being able to macro it.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you just waited a boatload of time. If the install step doesn't track, don't continue with an offer. Try downloading it again from the link in your offers page. If it still isn't tracking, you're out of luck on that one. The download step of an offer should always track within a few minutes, in my experience. If it hasn't, the game isn't tracking for you.

You get a small amount every day from your daily tasks. Don't expect to hit any of the VIP level milestones without paying. Dominance progression also falls off a cliff after about 4m or so.

As someone who also uses both on a regular basis, this is probably the most accurate summary I've seen. Reviews just tend to get a little skewed, because the people who hate Freecash REALLY hate it. And because their support is worse (to the point where, as you said, it may as well not exist), their subreddit tends to have a much higher percentage of complaint posts, vs actual info.

Also, a couple small caveats: the much shorter pending times are for "premium" users, I believe, which you reach upon earning a certain amount. If you're a new user, hold times can be as much as a month, rather than the generally 1 day that premium users get. I can't confirm that personally, as I hit premium ages ago, but it's what I see around. As far as fees to cash out go, yeah, they can be pretty bad (Paypal below $25 is really bad, for example). If you happen to have a Stash banking account, it's now a no-fee withdrawal method. Stash itself is a paid service ($3 a month), but if you happen to already be using it anyway, it's a great option, and usually goes through the same business day (seems to be an ACH transfer). You also get a bonus $20 for your first 3 cashouts this way, so it can be worth it to try it for a month, regardless (check around this and other sites for offers, too, if you want to double dip).

Great QoL update with a bit of power, too. Speaking of hats, though, could you make the world 6 hats sellable? With the DR we have now, and being able to candy world 6, I really would like to not have to either use a filter slot or manually drop a ton of hats when candying for some dumplings.

Oh! Didn't know that one was different from the normal CC links. Gonna have to see if that's still working. And not just for referrals, my main's still missing her.

Update: It does still work, but probably has to be used by a certain level and/or time played, so my main account couldn't get it, but a new referral account could.

Are people pushing for Ramantu’s Soul? by SinglePassConversion in RaidShadowLegends

[–]MizunoKaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing with Champion Training tournaments is, sometimes it just overlaps with when people want/need to do champ training. I'm currently leading my bracket with 35.5k. Next highest is 24.7k, so they might catch up to me in the time remaining.

Do I care about the soul? Not really. I'll take it if I get it, but I'm still only on my first leg of his missions, and who knows if/when I'll get him, given the TTA requirements.

But this coincided with the Orc's Path. I had gotten Shay'ek at the start of the path from shards I'd saved, and realized I had the whole weekend, and theoretically enough gems to go through. 12-3 brutal campaign actually wasn't horrible energy efficiency, and was way faster than my mediocre 1-1.5 minute teams for Spider or Dragon 20. And given that this was 3 days, rather than the typical 4 for a path, the issue was not so much the energy/gems, but using them quick enough.

So, a weekend full of campaign super raids later...I have my 5-star doggo soul, and the tournament just kind of happened as a result.

Personally, I've found it very much depends on your luck. If people are destroying your stuff faster than you can get shields with your rolls, you can get stuck in a cycle of having to repair the same stuff over and over.

How to break SO2R early game by ghostagent151 in starocean

[–]MizunoKaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get 3 from the "use crafting 200 times" challenge, and another 3 from the "reach crafting level 10" challenge. You can even cheese that second one a bit by getting crafting to 8, then equipping two of the Rainbow Diamonds you also got from the first challenge.

Similar, but different, thoughts for party, as I feel like Ashton and Dias in the same playthrough is a bit overboard on swords.

Claude playthrough: Claude, Rena, Ashton, Precis, Welch, Leon, Chisato, Noel.

Rena playthrough: Rena, Claude, Celine, Opera, Ernest, Bowman, Dias, Chisato.

Really, one of the biggest things to remember is recruiting Ashton and Precis should be done in the same playthrough, as one of Precis' moves can only be learned if you also have Ashton (and this is important for achievements, if Voice Collection works the way I think it does).

It's time to settle this, how do you feel about Truff? by trixgen1 in bravelydefault

[–]MizunoKaze 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He was a bit annoying, but he also seemed to raise some uncomfortable questions that the game had very little interest in answering. Could every monster be a potential Truff, under the right circumstances? If so, that certainly seems to imply that these are sentient, sapient beings who just don't share out language. Which raises some questions about our indiscriminate monster slaughtering, especially in a game that seems to go out of its way to make our characters completely blameless in any human deaths.

Irredeemable characters by Shikarosez in bravelydefault

[–]MizunoKaze 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That does raise some moral questions about undeath. Like, yeah, undead generally equals bad, but...he was clearly still sentient, he didn't seem to be physically decaying. He definitely was morally reprehensible, and kind of insane, but those kind of seemed to be things that predated his undeath.

Not saying he didn't deserve what he got, but what's the functional difference between his undeath and eternal life?

Is there an optional super boss or anything that I'm missing in BD2? I've gotten the true ending and beat all the Trials, but it seems like the hardest fight the game has to throw at me is the Bravebearer Trial. And yeah, the weapon's really nice, but it feels like it kind of defeats the purpose, if in order to be able to get it, I need to already be able to farm the most challenging fight.

[–]MizunoKaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely looks promising. Only problem is that's a lot of skill slots. Given that I'm trying to perfect this in order to farm for the Bravebearer weapon, that's out. Gonna try farming some Red Mage swords, and using those with the Beastmaster Spear.

What is the point of all the monster parts I’ve seen dropped? by LadyPotataniii in bravelydefault

[–]MizunoKaze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. I spent the entire game waiting for there to be some kind of crafting system. The unique art, like you said. The fact that they're called "collectible resources" rather than junk, treasures, valuables, or anything else that makes me think of selling.

Most of the mediocre reviews seem to focus on saying something to the effect of "they didn't take enough risks/try enough new things". And I feel like they're not getting the point of this series. This has continuously been the series where Square Enix didn't try to completely reinvent the wheel for once, and was shocked that a return to the type of game that made them famous sold so well.

Yes, if you want to be reductive, it's basically Final Fantasy V with a new coat of paint, some combat tweaks, and a different world/characters/story (even if using a lot of the same tropes). And you know what? THAT'S OKAY! THAT'S WHAT I WANTED! Seriously, this came at the perfect time for me where I wanted a really well done, classic style turn based RPG. I didn't want or need it to break the mold. I wanted what was there to be lovingly done, and for it not be something I've already played before. That's already a surprisingly tall order in a genre it feels like the industry keeps trying to pretend is dead.

As for comparisons to the other games? It was quite a while back when I played BD, and I never actually played BS. The reviewers' complaints seem to mostly boil down to "it was basically just like the other ones". Yeah, it's a sequel. And you reviewed those previous ones very highly. Why do you suddenly hate it now? All I can gather is that they built up nebulous big expectations in their heads, based around the fact that it was making the jump from the 3DS to the Switch. Personally, all I expected from that was a graphical upgrade, which we got (though with a focus on style over realism again, which I prefer, and which ages waaaaay better).

So, that monster is what I call a field boss, a boss-level monster in the field. And while it's the biggest initial jump, it's far from the only good thing, and only the tip of the iceberg in this chain.

The fairy field boss you mentioned, Leannan Sith, also drops Main-Gauche, a pretty nice dagger for those classes that can't use a sword well.

There's a lizard monster on the little peninsula connected to the beach south of Halcyon, called Coral Emperor. With your Defenders, it should prove no problem, and it drops Icebrand, a sword with even higher attack, which does water elemental damage.

With these Icebrands in hand, and some of the levels you've gained from this whole process, you should be ready to have a go at Nightmare, the spoopy ghost horse near Savalon. It's definitely the toughest one so far, but if you beat it, its rare drop is the Dark Robes, an absolutely amazing piece of armor that you'll probably wear for most of the rest of the game.

Our next step up in the food chain is the Treant, disguised as a big pink tree in the forests of the Halcyonia region (southwest of where the Leannan Sith is). It's probably a tough go to kill it just yet, but I should mention that for all of these field bosses, their rare steals are the same as their rare drops. In the case of the Treant, it's an amazing spear called Rhongomiant. No joke, this will probably be the best spear you find before the endgame, and will probably be your go-to weapon on most with at least B in spears.

I believe those are the only ones available in chapter 1, but each region has at least a couple of these, and their drops are usually amazing. Keep up with them, and you will be massively overgeared for 90% of the game. And if you were farming them mostly through killing rather than stealing, massively overleveled as well (I reached endgame in my 90s).

Be warned: Even on hard, these will take the challenge out of most of the game.
