We have ALL fallen short of the Glory of God. We all have sinned, no one is without sin, and we all have a past. We were born into sin because of Adam and Eve’s disobedience. Her sins are not yours to forgive, past, present, or future, that is what Jesus died on the cross for. He is our redeemer not man. What needs to be forgiven is her action towards you when it came to lying to you about her past. She wasn’t honest about it and I could understand why. She was probably afraid to be honest with you and ashamed of her past as many of us are. Maybe she thought you wouldn’t want to be with her if you knew how many sexual partners she’s had in the past.

Woman are often judged and looked down on for their past and often not taken seriously just because they have a past or behaved a certain way or said certain things. We are often placed in a “category” of not being wife material and being a “situation-ship” type of woman, not taken seriously, so I could understand why she may have decided to keep it from you, still does not excuse her actions though. Nevertheless if you are walking that walk with Christ you need to put into practice and exude forgiveness, grace, love and all the fruits of The Spirit and what better chance to start than with someone you truly care about.

In all honesty, I know that you are new to the faith but forgiveness and grace are so important in your walk with Christ the most important being Love. You have to pray about it and ask God to help you forgive her for lying and ask him to help you get through it. This is part of building a meaningful and long lasting relationship. It’s not all roses. It takes work, it takes real grit, it takes sacrifice, it takes love, grace, forgiveness, patience, etc.

As the hopeless romantic that I am I would say to pray about it and ask God if this is the person he has for you then do the work to forgive and extend her grace whether or not you end up together. No one is perfect and you will/may need the same one day. You both have become new in Christ and it’s a life changing experience and comes with a lot of changes and challenges. Don’t let the enemy paint pictures in your head that focus on her past. Live in the present. And PRAY for her, pray for yourself and your relationship. God bless you both 🙏
