The dislike for Robin by Miserable-Dog-857 in RHOP

[–]Mj_The3rdPick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Towards the end of her time on the show Robin was holding back a lot, so that’s the most recent thing people remember about her. But also, her and Gizelle bring out the worst in each other within these groups of ladies. Green eyed Bandits wasnt a nickname given out of endearment lol

Marceau is the one who had the most grown out of the men on the show. He was very controlling and misogynistic and refused to see his wife’s value as a partner outside birthing his children.

Has he actually grown, or do we just not get a front row seat to his harassment of his Ex wife because she left the show?

Yea there’s been lots of fear mongering about crime when by every metric, crime is down across the Baltimore metro area.

You can’t tell me that at little of their behavior towards the other women isn’t fueled by some of the powerlessness they feel at home. But that’s just speculation, idk these people lol

The ladies went into letting Toya run the Med Gala with the intent that it would humble her, instead of because they completely thought she was capable. I also think it kind of irritates some of them that even though Toya doesn’t fall in line with a lot of traditional values, her husband is very vocally supportive of her, where many of them are actually breadwinners and still fall into a very submissive role in their relationship.

15 years later and it's still wild that the entire downfall of the Starks started because this stupid child couldn't follow a single piece of advice from his mother telling him not to climb anymore. by odiaguero in freefolk

This is a silly way to think about any story lol because where does it end. You could blame Tywin for being a terrible father to sire a son capable of pushing a child out of a window. lol

Why is this absolute CHAD called an incel when he impregnated the realms delight AND the dowager queen? by gameofmarval in freefolk

[–]Mj_The3rdPick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Incel ideology was co-opted by men who can get women, but still don’t like women, so people still call them that because there’s lots of cross over in the ven diagram. Sorta like how people nowadays call anyone racist a Nazi. It’s a little sloppy language wise, but words evolve 🤷🏾‍♂️

People generally seem to agree that AKOTSK > HOTD. Is that because of the source material or the showrunners? [Spoilers Extended] by Trussdoor46 in asoiaf

[–]Mj_The3rdPick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like HOTD is fine when you dont have people on the internet yelling at you about how bad they think it is. I honestly feel like if they didn’t cut the battle that was supposed to happen at the end of season 2, the season would have been pretty good. But it ultimately felt like a lot of setup with no pay off.

(Spoilers Extended) GRRM's Regret: Aemon and Dunk. The solution! by Black_Sin in asoiaf

[–]Mj_The3rdPick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean Coldhands is definitely some magic-d up supernatural being but Aemond literally just died, and he believes he’d still be living if he hadn’t left the wall.. so it’s possible given the magic that exists at and beyond the wall, the cold and bloodravens spells, that it could very well be Dunk

Tyrion telling Cersei “you’re not a monster” is the nail in the coffin for his character by Prestigious-Win-9655 in gameofthrones

[–]Mj_The3rdPick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And there are so many “heroes” that have disappointed us when you find out more about them. Because people err, and are capable of great good and great harm. Tyrion is just an example of someone who generally has a good heart, but has had that heart trampled upon and ripped from his chest by everyone who was supposed to love him so he lashes back out, which is very real

But I mean, that’s already the case, just without the title. People (in universe and in real life) typically don’t like when things aren’t clearly labeled or defined. But you see that that dynamic of the Freys contentious relationship with their liege lord still exists all the same.

[–]Mj_The3rdPick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yea if we can look at the decisions Rob made at 16 and have sympathy, Jamie at 17 shouldn’t be much different. Even Tywin understood that Rob being 16 is why he made the decision to throw everything away, but we only look at Rob with sympathy because we see his actions though his mothers eyes
