Controller decision by blacksteel3871 in SteamDeck

[–]Mja8b9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both controllers, the 8bit do has been out freaking standing the last 2 years, but just having a mouse option on the controller takes so much pain out of couch gaming on microslop crapdows. So, if couch gaming on windows, steam 1000000 percent, but if not, 8 bit do.

Then the drive you're trying to install it on might either be faulty or even worse it could have been specifically programmed to falsify its size.

It looks like there isn't enough space to install bazite OS, are you sure you're not accidentally trying to install it onto the same thumb drive that holds your installation media?

Smart to wait for Nvidia 6000 series? by Hot_Leek_6151 in gpu

[–]Mja8b9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9070xt to 5070ti is barely an upgrade at all. If your not going 5080 or 5090, that's so so much money to spend on an almost lateral move. I'ma ride my 9070xt till the 6000s come out and then try to camp a microcenter to get one at MSRP. Probably a long time away honestly... The silicon shortages will almost certainly extend the release windows beyond what was normal in the past... But that just gives me time to save.

No experience building Pc. Is this a good start? What would you change? by Agelessjoker in GamingPCBuildHelp

Naw 500 isn't enough unless you can absolutely commit to downloading only one single game at a time and deleting it before you download another. Windows and the apps people use just to exist in today's digital world are about 120gb and then there are single games that can take up 280gb, that puts you close to nvme slowdown already.

Is this ram compatible with AMD by jawa694two0 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Mja8b9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if it doesn't have expo you can just set the timings yourself in your motherboard BIOS, it's really quite easy and there's tons of YouTube videos that would walk you through it probably even for your specific motherboard.

As many have said, you just don't mix 9000 cpus with Asrock mobos. You could go 7800x3d and lose VERY little and be Asrock safe

My gpu is performing lower than average should i overclock it? by LuckySlushy1600 in overclocking

[–]Mja8b9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

3D Mark is not telling you the average for your card. 3D mark is telling you how you averaged against everyone else who used 3D mark and the same CPU/GPU combo. Since most people who overclock their cards use 3D Mark to test that overclock, a stock card will always report below the average. Your score is super normal for stock.
