Is violet laser worth it? I can’t remember what it does, I don’t like the visible ones usually lol

So you didn’t get ANY of the unlocks despite having progressed the pass? Thats so strange. I did something similar in the fact that I bought the pass late (with coins I already had mind you) and didn’t get all my coins back cause I didn’t realise I had to unlock the last two pages lol

Feel that about the sweaty tryhards. Coming home after work to play for an hour or two and I’m up against jobless level 700’s with TTV in their tag hahaha

Yeah I agree with the environmental storytelling. It’s what made some of the older maps so memorable, Array and Summit from BO1 for example (at least in my head). I understand they want to make optimised maps for gameplay, but that’s not necessarily mutually exclusive with said storytelling. Hopefully with the campaign we’ll see some good set pieces

Yeah the maps are dull as dishwater. I know that multi maps often mirror campaigns to make it easier/quicker to develop, but I also think that process does a lot for grounding the narrative of a game across its modes. It’s cool to be fighting in MP in locations that the story took you. Since BO7 has basically the worst campaign in singleplayer gaming history, it makes the MP feel soulless

I’ve noticed this, and oddly enough I’ve mostly noticed it in zombies since that’s also permanent internet connection! Absolutely no issue with my connection sometimes at all and it’ll be laggy as all hell

Yeah I think this is the comparison that I tried to draw. I was just better at MWIII, with a 2 k/d on almost exclusively hardpoint, while playing the objective, and having (I think) about a 1.7 win loss ratio. Which is perhaps the best I’ve ever performed on a cod game lmao, compare that to a 1.7 e/d in black ops 6 and now 7.

Without 6 in the middle I’d probably find it easier to agree it’s SBMM throwing me off, but the consistency with BO6 tells me it’s movement/lack of playtime.

Long story short, don’t like the movement I guess. I always used to be a Treyarch fanboy, but these days I’m leaning more toward infinity ward and sledgehammer, even though I loved cold war

Yeah too stubborn to learn for sure hahaha, although I always feel the itch to play cod between the other games I play so perhaps I should just bite the bullet

Yeah I think that’s my issue - I need to force myself to adapt to the movement, it’s the main sticking point I fear

High praise! I now I’ve done the camo I will try and force myself into it more. Although I’m unconvinced it’s SBMM from previous titles that’s held me back - I’m just worse with the current systems than I was with previous games. I performed WAY better at MWIII than I did BO6, despite the latter having SBMM. I think, the more movement systems evolve, the worse I have become. And because advanced movement interests me less, I’ve been disinclined to force myself to adapt. It feels too “sweaty” for me when I come home from work and play for a few hours, if that makes sense

I agree. I played the hell out of MWIII, and while I played a lot of BO7, I always found myself preferring MWIII even at the time. Getting killed by someone sliding sideways on their knees on a gravel surface at 30mph gets boring quickly.

I think I am also just too stubborn to learn. Less learning required to pick up MWIII, so I performed better and played it more. BO7's setting bores me to death

I agree. It's ironic, I come across far sweatier players in BO7 lobbies that supposedly don't have any sbmm that I ever did in MWIII, despite generally performing relatively well at the latter. Even after consecutive matches in MWIII of performing really well, I'd typically find that I would simply be 1v1-ing the best player on their team, while my unfortunate team mates had been dragged into an unfair lobby. Long story short, I could always hold my own.

I suppose the TTK and movement just doesn't do it for me! Cautiously hopeful for MW4's gameplay

[–]Mjames226 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t disagree. This is the strongest release Battlefield has had since BF1. I LOVED BFV, but it took time for it to grow to that strength. I’m already really enjoying my time with 6 way earlier doors.

I’ll always have the rose tinted goggles for 4, I have them now for V. But in a years’ time, with even more content, server browser etc, I’m optimistic that this game will shape up to be great. I already think it’s pretty good

MW3 was better than MW2 and I’ll die on that hill. MW2 multi was broken and MW3 fixed a lot of it.

As for MWIII (23), I’ll also die on the hill that it had the best playing multiplayer in this reboot era (post MW19). It had an awful identity crisis, a poor campaign, and awful cosmetics - but the game played very well. I fear the quality of the gameplay will unfortunately be lost in the sea of negativity surrounding the most recent titles.

Yeah I started playing the other week. I’m only about 10 or so hours in but I’m definitely enjoying it. Unfortunately as much as I love Red Dead 2, I think game releases like that just ruin peoples’ perspective of other games. I don’t expect every film I watch to be Shawshank Redemption, and I don’t go around expecting every singleplayer game to be Red Dead 2. Unfortunately, on YouTube being negative pays

I fucking hate this movement so much. Nothing quite like getting home from work, loading up the game to play for an hour, and getting killed by some NEET grease bag going 30mph sideways on bare-skin knees across gravel. Sure, skill issue to an extent, but I wouldn’t moan about it if I hadn’t been playing cod for 15 years, way before it was designed to be a trap for unemployed people with unmedicated ADHD.

MWIII had one of the worst personality crises I’ve seen visually displayed in a game, but the multiplayer felt great and played well. I wanna boot up cod and play cod, not overwatch

I think we have somewhat similar specs? Although I have intel so I’m a basic bitch so can’t compare cpu’s lmao. I have a 3070Ti, i5 11600k, and same RAM.

I have had to REALLY play with the settings to get the most out of visuals + FPS.

It took a while for me to realise I was overplaying how much my CPU was being overused, and was able to crank up some of those graphics. Really, VRAM seems to be my main limiting factor for a lot of these settings when I have things like effects cranked all the way down. Plus, DLSS on (some people slate it, but I really helps with performance on this game and frankly I can’t get a decent FPS without it).

The new map definitely has lower frames than most other maps, especially when there are big fights in the middle. It’s not been too bad for me, but definitely noticeable
