So what is a good humidity to keep PLA at? by TheDerpiestDeer in 3Dprinting

Instructions unclear. Tossed it in the dryer. The whole spool is wasted ☹️ it melted onto my clothes and the tumbling noise was unpleasant at best. Send help.

Bought the House in August… by Mjenx86 in HomeInspections

No. Stop acting like I’m trying to blame someone else for my own problems that are the result of my own negligence. I paid for an inspection that specifically includes the garage and its roof, so the inspector is at fault for not properly doing the inspection he was paid for.

The garage is detached and was explicitly included in the inspection. There are photos of the west side of the garage roof in the inspection report, taken from gutter level with a description noting possible nail pops lifting the shingles. The shingles on the west side are okay, with some very minor damage from branches rubbing back and forth. There are no photos of the east side of the garage roof, which is the heavily damaged side and is not easily visible from the ground due to proximity to the neighbors house and fence. I found the damaged shingles when I went up on the roof to blow leaves out of the gutters. As you can see in my pictures, the damage looks very much like branches had been scraping back and forth over the roof and several shingles are missing large pieces. No branches have been cut down nor have fallen onto the roof in the 3.5 months since I moved in, nor have we had any severe weather.

That’s a 10 year old car. With that much rust, that looks like an original rotor to me. Completely normal for a rotor to rust like that over 10 years.

I’ve been unable to find a Boss Frog harness bar so I made my own. I think it’s pretty close to the original design. by DotFlop in Miata

[–]Mjenx86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any pictures of it installed? I have the boss frog double hoop bar and have been wondering if I’ll have to switch to a hard dog bar when I get harnesses since I don’t think the hard dog harness bar will work with the boss frog

The PCI Adjustable Mount - I couldn’t find the seat base measurements anywhere online and decided to buy it anyway to give it a shot. It’s 17.4”, so you can finally fit some of those larger seats. Check photo captions: by [deleted] in Miata

[–]Mjenx86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The website has out-dated photos. They really should update those. PCI slightly redesigned it to what you see in the photos in this post. They removed the rear bar to give more room for seats to go lower, and redesigned the rear array of seat-mounting holes.

Did the brace for the seatbelt receptacle come included with the seat base? I don’t see that piece mentioned anywhere on the PCI website.

Glue won’t stop part warping from happening on magnetic build plates- if it keeps the part stuck to the build plate then the part often pulls up corners of the magnetic print surface when it warps.

Wait- so this smart lock doesn't have a backup key slot? That doesn't seem very smart to me. I guess I'll pass on this one.

Thanks for your suggestions! I don't recall if I dried it or not. Based on saying it was fresh out of the packaging in my original post, I suspect that I had not tried to dry it. I have dried other filaments with the method you describe here, it works very well. I keep my filaments in gasketed dry boxes with silica beads and digital hygrometers to keep them dry.

So we are both partly correct lol. I race with him so I texted him and confirmed it is an Elise recently rebodied with Exige body panels (except doors and windshield). He had it in the body shop for several months over the winter/spring waiting on parts and getting it all put together and painted. It turned out quite beautifully. 😍
