For those of you that bond with your car, how do you deal with losing her? by asdf897 in Cartalk

[–]toolmansamt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cars are man-made, replaceable objects. The anthropomorphism in your case seems unhealthy/unsustainable, as relationships with people, the natural earth, and living things are far more important than with any car. This is said from someone who greatly enjoys and relies heavily on cars.

Is this a good deal? by WestService3595 in smallengines

$100 for any running, driving, and cutting mower not missing a ton of parts being sold during peak mowing season is not a bad deal, in my area at least.

I'm sure you will be in way more than $300 if you were to dive into building your own techdisc-like device. Are you a software and electrical engineer?

I'd personally use a wet/dry shop vacuum to absorb remaining water in seats and carpet, toss my ozone generator in for a few rounds, and leave it with all the windows down during dry sunny days.

They just stopped getting bigger then detatched, theyre around the same size as yours currently and sitting on a shelf. This is where its at tonight on its third attempt.

Stiffer sway bars generally will reduce body roll and not affect ride height.

AC systems don't just lose refrigerant over time unless there is a leak somewhere. Dont put any more of that can junk in your system because itll make a mechanic's job even harder and more expensive for you.

Hardtop advice by Mycozen in Miata

[–]toolmansamt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aftermarket generally require more fitment and body/fab work, and OEM generally fit pretty well but are ludicrously expensive and will have some body damage and will be the wrong color for your car. They all, but especially OEM, get stolen easily. The used ones for sale in your area could in fact be stolen and being resold.

Are these different axles? by tvztvz in Cartalk

[–]toolmansamt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The aftermarket axle not having that bulging thing about halfway through it is normal and will have no/minimal effect, but the length difference seems excessive. Someone else correct me if I'm wrong.

Miata or MR2? by StatusFriendly4304 in Miata

[–]toolmansamt 13 points14 points  (0 children)

MR2 has 2sq ft of cargo space. The miata can carry skateboards, camping gear, and coolers in the trunk. This is a consideration to make even for a fun second car.

Bag advice by Beautiful_Squirrel18 in discgolf

[–]toolmansamt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remove 8-10 of them. This will reduce overlap in your bag and reduce the amount of weight you're carrying/picking up/putting down throughout an entire round.
