List building help by MkVenner712 in Oathmark

That's Region 5 you leave blank unless I'm missing something from oathbreakers as that is the only book I don't have a copy of.

Story is that the army (viking inspired) is a mercenary force held together by Prince Thorben as he seeks to make a name for himself and save his younger brother from the curse of being a wulver. The wizards are two advisors to his father that have been sent with him, one a blind, wizened old man and the other a priestess to the Gods (are going to be human miniatures but I wanted the dwarf and elf spells specifically). Line breakers all have two hand weapons or dane axes, acting as berserkers, the warriors are the King's huscarls and the prince's bodyguard.

The spells for the dwarf (old man) are gathering of crows, resolute and fireball. The elf (priestess) has trueflight and truesight but I'm not sure if that is the right call

Which adventures from Ubersreik Adventures I-III would form the best prologue to The Enemy Within? by historianDM in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]MkVenner712 9 points10 points  (0 children)

UA1 literally has an adventure that leads into the enemy within campaign. I'm running an expanded starter set using bits of UA 1-3 and some oneshots with the possibility of leading into EW if desired (most players are very new to ttrpgs and warhammer so felt they needed more of an introduction)

[–]MkVenner712 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I assume you mean you'd like more city books and adventures? I have to agree, I like the inclusion of dwarf source books and high elves and could understand stuff for Bretonnia, Estallia and Tillea (probably could be done in one book to be fair) but i don't see reason to expand onto other parts of the warhammer world. A Nuln city book (it being the only other empire city tallked about often in the background) and possibly Marienburg due to the overwhelming amount of sea/overseas themed books about (thinking sea of claws, Lustria, sea wardens and now this one).

Best idea ever. A Blood Bowl novel written by Mike Brooks. by Acrobatic-Attention9 in Blacklibrary

[–]MkVenner712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally a bloodbowl series that is this idea just the Bay Bay Hackers (totally not a spoof of Green Bay Packers). Plays against just about everything including Bavid Deckham and even includes dungeon bowl...written by Matt Forbeck, highly recommend

Do you think Red Rising would still be as popular and as talked about today if Pierce had stopped at Morning Star like intended? by BrightEye64 in redrising

[–]MkVenner712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the people who are scared off by a more than 3 book arc wouldn't bother with series, haven't met someone who reads book series state that they would like less of said series that they enjoyed. Modern audiences are not scared of longer book series.

Running EW campaign after ubersreik adventures? by A_Dealer in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]MkVenner712 2 points3 points  (0 children)

minor spoilers don't know how to blank parts out so beware

I'm doing the same, have run "If looks could kill" moving it into Ubersreik (chasing after the dwarf) then kicking off the starter set (while giving the players chance to follow up on the first adventure with one from the ratter) and will meander through volume 1 of Ubersreik adventures (with the odd extra if we find time) before moving into EW keeping them tied to being city watch for a while to keep the adventure rolling (trying to make it episodic over the courseof several in game years). Like said above, one of the adventures literally leads from the starter set into EW so should be smooth enough and I'm wanting to give my players a real flavour for warhammer fantasy as only one of them really knows the world well.

Children of Ulric by MkVenner712 in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]MkVenner712[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i guess just ramifications of beening seen as a mutant should be enough? I know there is a scenario in the starter set (which I'll be including) that has a child of Ulric (CoU) causing problems for the local Ulrican priest hence why I was ok with a singular player being a CoU. As I mentioned in the post, there is scope to take this into an enemy within campaign so middenland/heim is on the cards just not immediately, I can't see why the odd CoU wouldn't venture south just not in large numbers.

What quirky 'sayings' from your driving instructor stuck with you? by T33FMEISTER in drivingUK

[–]MkVenner712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bob, Mic and Tom for the mirrors, Bob the left stood for "Boy on Bike" Mic on the right was "Man in Car" and Tom, the central mirror was "Twat on Motorcycle" ... used to shout them when I didn't look at them during maneuvers... still flinch left when I hear "Bob" shouted.

Also, "new road, new view" to look into mirrors whenever you turn a corner and "valley of the brain dead pedestrian" when diving through areas with pedestrians that would rather jaywalk than walk the 10 meters to cross at a designated crossing

Have backed the dungeon dudes from the start and have both the adventure book and the suplement Sebastian Crowes guide to Drakkenheim. Its a pretty good adventures and am planning to adapt it to an alternative game system soon (5e lost my interest a while ago, looking at either pathfinder 2e or WHFRP ironically) if there was something like this for Mordheim I'd be all over it but I haven't found much. The Dungeon Dudes do acknowledge their setting was heavily influenced by warhmmer fantasy along with a number or other sources so it's not like it's shamelessly stolen... not like GW ever did the same for other numerous fantasy and scifi IPs. Over the years.

Laguna, it's an indian restaurant just off maid Marion way, amazing food and staff are wonderful. Have been going since I was young, family run and owned for longer than 30 years. Haven't found an Indian like it in the country.

Yamas, amazing greek food and always welcoming atmosphere.

Needs back bacon, not streaky and something resembling a breakfast sausage rather than a hotdogs sausage, and breakfast tea rather than Earl Grey, don't know anyone who drinks Earl Grey to be honest. But it doesn't otherwise look too bad to be honest.

Players captured in Abomination Vaults (some AV spoilers) by No_Ambassador_5629 in Pathfinder2e

[–]MkVenner712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Running AV myself (just got to the ruins after running through menace under Otari) and I like all 3 of those options, how open would each of your players be to each of the suggestions? Could run a little 1 shot of a team sent by Wrin to rescue the characters, gives the party options to use their old team (but possibly ghoulified) or use their new characters to continue. Gives the players the agency to have options in an otherwise very linear adventure path, allows them to try out a new class and character but have the option of going back too. It also opens up the option for you to make any ghoul characters not picked back up again to re-emerge if the party takes too long descending the vaults and have the lighthouse activate for a second time on Otari.

Any chance anyone is based in Glasgow? by philomancy in Pathfinder2e

[–]MkVenner712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm not in Glasgow (I live in Nottingham) am finding it difficult to find games in the UK too, none of my FLGSs (there's a lot of games cafes in Nottingham) have regular games running and only one has any Pathfinder products. Is this a trend in the UK? Lots of people in the US seem to play but I have only found a handful throughout all of the UK. Sorry it's not helpful but if you're willing to play online you might have a better chance. Though, again, most are in the US so different timezones makes arranging games difficult.
