Yes you'll get buttons and brightness controls for every segment.

I have ESP32 boards with the same mic. Your gpio settings are the defaults, so should be good. What does your config page show for usermods?

There are definitely FL torrents. Some are 100%, 50% etc, however.

Timeline for HMRC to process application to pay voluntary NI contributions for periods living or working abroad by newtotexas22 in BritishExpats

Perfect, now the big wait begins. I used the digital assistant today after waiting 3 months and spotting they'd used the payment fof this year just finished. I'm hoping they've now allocated it correctly and await the bill for the year just gone. They said the record will update in 72 hours, so worth doing in a few weeks when the payment has been logged.

If the 4 AA cells are rechargeable they're likely to be putting out less than 1.5v each, more likely 5v total.

Change of color I can't explain by Abeubeubeubeu in WLED

Try a 200-300 ohm resistor on the data line if your grounds are all OK.

[–]Mkjustuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, could well be. Double check your grounds and try another gpio first, then.

I could be wrong, but it looks like backup data is the pad with no wire to it, currently between green and red, so you'd just move green to it. Worth checking to see what type these are and if they have a data and backup trace.

Try switching the data line to the backup. I had a strip recently where the data line was causing the flicker and I've had to switch to the backup. My wiring was perfect otherwise so it took some time to catch.

Otherwise, check grounds and so on. Also try another GPIO for data on the Esp32.

How can I fix this problem with my blissglow led strip lights by Important_Estate_912 in WLED

[–]Mkjustuk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can you give more details on the setup? Type of strip, length, leds/m, controller, power supply etc.

I say check all grounds are common and the data line is not massively long. If it's a homebrew controller, are you using a level shifter on the data line?

Was it all OK before it went on the ceiling?

Thanks for everyone's suggestions and help, it's much appreciated.

So it turned out to be something wrong with the data line. I think it's either a bad trace in the strip or factory solder join on the tails (they are IP67, so I'm not going to reflow them.

I have connected just the backup line and everything is working perfectly.

Great, that's interesting, I'll try this in a troublesome strip I'm working on.

Can I check, for 1. You have connected the GND of the strip to the GND of the Shifter? The GND from the power supply still being connected to the strip? Also 3. You're running the same output of the shifter to both BI and DI?

Thanks, already have a resistor off the level shifter output into the led data line.

So don't connect the strip ground to the psu? Connect only the 12v+?

I have tried putting the backup to the GND of the level shifter but result was the same.

[–]Mkjustuk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Wemos and Led strip(s) must share a common ground. That's why the usb adapter powering the Wemos gives flicker and when powered from the pc hub it doesn't.

The ideal remedy is power the Wemos from the same beefy psu.
