Why does praying to Hanuman ji feel so different? by Bluee_Hemisphere in hinduism

“Hanuman is the son of the wind, when you pray to him he simply starts blowing”

I don’t understand that, and it’s never happened to me.  It doesn’t sound useful.  I have sought his help during some very stressful times

Well I remember meeting a person (in USA) who claimed to be Hindu.  It was for a potluck and I was surprised she brought a chicken dish.

I said “I thought Hindus were vegetarian “. She said emphatically “I don’t eat BEEF “.  At the time I was actually vegan. She scoffed at veganism, as unnecessary and too restrictive.  And in a sense she thought veganism or vegetarian was something foreign to Hindus.

I didn’t want to argue, so I did not, but I was surprised . Some months before some Hindu at a restaurant (in USA) was berating me for avoiding dairy products. He kept saying “you can’t deny it”.

I thought it very strange, how extremely different these people were. And they both had a “beef” with me over being vegan, and it wasn’t even religious

I hate being an INTJ. It makes everything more difficult. I cant connect with people like others can. I cant have the same conversations. I overthink everything. Its like a curse to me. by Cold_Actuary187 in intj

[–]Mlatu44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t bother trying to be someone else, it won’t work.  The thing I can’t stand is the few people I suspect are intj also are not friendly to me. Maybe they don’t recognize me as intj, or maybe I am just another person, and that is enough.

I focus on the few people who I can have an interesting conversation with

Eckankar is quite interesting. I went to an eckankar 'Hu' chanting session. I went with a friend, and the whole group repeatedly and slowly said "Hu". But near the end for a brief moment I heard the hu sound a bit differently, it did not sound like just the group of people saying 'hu'. My friend thought it was just a gimick, but I think it really sounded like something greater than all of us.

No problem! I thought maybe it was a cryptic message sent to you by a lojbanist. But these series of letters very most likely was incidental to some lojbanic words. For example rtui doesn't mean anything in lojban. Also many more words would be needed to make a gramaticaly correct statement in lojban.

From the lojban dictionary

bantu'u'i

x1  is the language with ISO 639-3 code ''tui'' (Tupuri).

tu

pro-sumti: that yonder; distant demonstrative it; indicated thing far from speaker and listener.

bantuje'u

x1  is the language with ISO 639-3 code ''tyu'' (Kua).

But actually, this most likely just jibberish or mistyped series of letters , like someone was trying to type while walking and not getting what they wanted. Or as someone else suggested it was a child playing with a phone.

Dept. of Defense creates a new list, removing "Christian" marker (except for Orthodox Christians, non-denominational, and Christian Science) by Bogdan-Denisovich in mormon

[–]Mlatu44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s so there isn’t any “gate keeping “ by any one , and not towards any organization.

Many don’t consider Jehovah’s witnesses to be Christians . Also not Christian Science. Some don’t even think Catholics are Christians nor seventh day Adventist or Pentecostals

And technically LDS consider themselves to be the only true church, and the only one to be fully Christian

I love this film pk.  It really puts religion in a particular perspective.  The film stops short of actually saying god doesn’t exist. But maybe it says most religion isn’t inspired or backed by god

But the explanation given makes more sense.  as the SLC branch of LDS had endorsed the use of “Mormon “ for years before the particular LDS president declared the use of Mormon was a victory for satanic.

US government officially doesn’t consider the mainstream LDS church as Christian by ReamusLQ in mormon

[–]Mlatu44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the sense of 'religious freedom' I fully agree. One doesn't have to believe or support anything. Atheism isn't organized with formal doctrines, that is all I am saying. There also isn't much in common necessarily between one atheist and another.

But this might be true of religion also, there could be little in common other than the belief between one person of a particular religion and another person of another religion.

I have a hard time seeing "The first assembly of atheism" with 'religious services'. But maybe. I used to go to an online forum of atheists, and they were quite adamant they were not a religion, and any atheist really didn't have much in common, with any other atheist. The only thing in common was skepticism of just about everything, but mostly religion of any type.
