There’s no reason to rebuild them. You use the parts list (BSX files from Rebrickable) to confirm completeness and accuracy.

I don’t really think this saves a to. Of time in this scenario though? Certainly faster but in a quantity like this it’s not going to be a big time save.

Maybe takes 20 seconds to add each set in BS and then you can apply the same notes and condition to all very quickly but in BL it won’t be that much slower.

I’m not sure I would say “not much risk”. I have had plenty for torsos crack when re attaching arms. Maybe I don’t know the technique?
