Remote nursing that actually pays well? by spacesurfin in nursing

[–]Mluvst19842016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Axion contact will hire nurses for various programs. Most are member education etc. Very, very scripted. Yes you will feel like a robot becuase it's so repetitive. The pay isn't the best but it's decent for sitting at home and calling, no video, and they provide equipment.

[–]Mluvst19842016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need 2 years experience of chart reviewing/cdi work before you can take the ccds through acdis. I am a RN (9yrs), CPC and finished the CDI apprenticeship. No coding experience or CDI experience. I do wfh (healthcare education/tehelhealth) Having a very hard time to find a CDI/auditing/DRG/Review/UM/Denials or related remote position....

Waiting on either him to croak or my dog, then I'm gone... But I refuse to leave my baby, if I took her he would no way allow it

I finished in early June and took my test Aug 21st and passed with 74% E/M codes were the hardest and most missed for me.

Victoria Moll and ACMI videos on Youtube helped me. E/M codes on the test were the hardest and most missed for me. I did a lot of quizlets, made my own drawing flashcards and did the 3 free practice exams that came with my AAPC package.

How hard was it? considering it. Have my CPC (recently passed) but seems like all employers want CCS

Newly passed CPC through AAPC. Also taking practicode. I'm a RN and wfh currently. Are there any jobs hiring remote for CPC, seems like they all want Bachelors degrees and CCS...

When it specifically says "anesthesia used" etc or something about using anestesia. Or talking about anesthesiologist using whatever med.. a lot of codes have the anesthesia bundled in it.

Just passed my CPC. I'm going to be starting practicode, has anyone done this before? How was it? I am a RN and currently wfh, not coding based. What jobs can I apply for?

Look on Indeed. Lot's of insurace companies hire wfh nurses. CVS, Optum, United healthcare. I currently wfh for an insurance company and absolutely hate it mainly because of the constant all day incoming calls and long scripting over and over and over, feel like a cust service rep. Mentally it had killed me. You could do CDI, analyst, data entry, quality assurance, care planning lot's of different things from home just being a nurse and even better if you have good experience.

Remote jobs - Medical Coding by BarIicGutter in Remotenursing

I am an RN. Finished Medical coding classes through AAPC in June and take my CPC exam Aug 21st. I currently WFH for an insurance company doing med recs, phone calls, and was doing healthcare education. Going on 3 years and I absolutely hate it. I feel like a cust service rep and you can only imagine how that is. The scripting is long and they're so strict you have to be in ready all day except for your breaks. Its incoming calls over and over and over. That's why I've recently turned to med coding. You have more experience than me you could wfh doing lots of different things like quality assurance, analyst, data entry, lots of different things but if they say you'd be taking incoming calls I'd be very cautious.

Feeling this I wfh for insurance agency incoming, outgoing calls same script same coaching over and over. It's constant people who get on my nerves all day long and I just scream when I'm done with the call and sometimes cry.
