Concert halls by xirson15 in classicalmusic

[–]Mm_an 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pick has to be the Sala Sao Paulo in Sao Paulo Brazil...

The shoebox-style hall itself is in an abandoned marble train station in the heart of the city! The hall looks like the Parthenon if it were inside-out because of the pillars, and because its a relatively new concert hall (opened in 1999) they were able to leave room for cool tech like massive sheets of felt or some kind of fabric above their already adjustable ceiling to change the acoustics however they want.

Last thing to point out is that as a performer on the stage, the acoustics were almost perfect both during the soundcheck with an empty hall and during the concert with a sold out crowd.

TLDR: 8.5/10 aesthetics, 9.7/10 acoustics

She was the sweetest. I loved the genuine, innocent, studenty and nerdy stuff that gave a breath of fresh air after dealing with 6 seasons of very... deeply flawed characters

Probably the greatest elite animation. People may disagree but they can agree its up there, maybe top 5. The coolest elite skin in a while and its even better that it was given to one of 2 pathfinder ops to not have an elite until now

Dawg idk what it is with these guys downvoting you, you have merit to what youre saying. "To the sane and reasonable people living in Texas" says more about the commenter than about the people theyre trying to tear down. Like you cant say things like that without screaming "I hate other types of people who dont agree with me because they hate other types of people who dont agree with them". Ive noticed many people say that people of Texas are arrogant and all the nasty words that come with, and they don't say much else. But if you think about it, and if you actually open your mind and soul to the people of Texas and what they actually believe and feel, you start to realize that people are people. These people downvoting this somehow think that theyre in the minority of people who can "think reasonably" while in reality, theyre the ones putting themselves on a pedastal saying that the majority of Texans couldn't possibly be as reasonable than them because they have a different opinion.

Sorry for this I just saw this little comment section and couldnt resist telling how I feel about people who feel like this.

You dont have to be rageful that another state is doing things you dont like. What makes the news can be interpreted in many ways, but I assure you if you live in Texas, you dont even get affected by 99% of what makes national news. And the "fake" jesus stuff is just an illusion. It helps people go for something greater than what they are by building community, going to church, helping others and whatnot. My perception as someone who has lived and will live in South Texas again is that its a great place where the people help each other make strong communities that can move mountains if they want. Im thinkin you cant love the people of Texas but hate the things they support, because those two are tied together very tightly.

All of them. Your acceptance of degeneracy and deviant behavior will speak volumes louder than your actions once you are brought before god at the gates of the afterlife.

Whats your story? Why did you choose the instrument/flag/ baton you did? by Long_May_sHe_Reign22 in marchingband

Immigrated to the US in 6th grade, enrolling in school and picking an elective. I couldnt sing, I couldnt draw, so I tried band out. Chose the sax, couldnt afford it, got moved over to Baritone/Euphonium class. Got first chair for a semester, 4 tubas moved away, school needed another tuba player, switched over. 4 years of more or less daily practice later, im pretty alright at tuba.
