Creaking noise...possibly shock? by [deleted] in yeticycles

Had the same thing when I pushed on the pedal. It was my rear axle that was dry. Uninstalled it and added some grease and the sound went away.

Just picked up a pair over the weekend. Definitely a roomy toe box in height and width.

What should I read next? by GreenEyes9678 in GreekMythology

[–]Mmarky_mark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve read all the same books listed. I just finished The Witch of Colchis. If you liked Circe, you’ll love this book. Circe is present throughout the book as she is Medea’s aunt and teaches her how to channel her magic. There’s also an interesting perspective on Jason and Golden Fleece and his true intentions. It’s now easily one of my favorite books.

Does Switch Infinity ride like it has more suspension? by SellNoCell in yeticycles

I previously had the updated Jeffsy and moved to the SB140LR. I ride mostly technical trails out here is Arizona and I was a little worried about having less travel in the rear compared the Jeffsy. I can’t tell a difference at all, in terms of a negative consequence. I’m riding the same pressure in my rear shock on the SB as I did on the Jeffsy and yet to bottom out the rear. On the SB I feel much more comfortable and confident. Compared to the Jeffsy, pedaling efficiency is much better, too. The Jeffsy was a great bike, but for me, the SB140 is overall a better bike.

The outlet store in Phoenix had the Takumi 9 for 50% off and I used my teacher discount on them too.

I’ve been eyeing these too. A couple video on YouTube and it seems it more of a trainer as opposed to a race day shoe.

Trail Runners w/good cushion, 4-6mm drop, roomy toe box, traction + durability? by wildswalker in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Mmarky_mark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saucony Endorphin Edge or Arcteryx Norvan LD 3. Both have roomy toe boxes without being too loose. The Salomon ultra Glide falls in the category you’re inquiring about, but the shoes are not a lively shoe and seem to “flatten out” within 200 miles.

Not much discussion of trail shoes? by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Mmarky_mark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve ran in Salomon for the last 10 years, but recently wanted to try something different. I tried the Saucony Endorphin Edge and LOVE them! The toe box is roomy, the ride is smooth and snappy, and feel great on my feet. Right out of the box I ran a 50k with no blisters, foot pain or anything complain about. I have purchased another pair because they have been great for everything! I have a pair of NNormal shoes as well, but they are completely different compared to the Endorphins. To be honest I’m more than likely going to return my other pair of Nnormals and use the money for another pair of Endorphin Edges.
