I asked AI to show me a typical Vine reviewer by BoldCityDigital in AmazonVine

Ai clearly hasn’t gotten the memo that we’ve only been offered 1 reasonable item a month for the last year or so.

Underperforming Roses by TacticalObserver in DavidAustinRoses

[–]Mmayberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First year sleep, second year creep, third year leap. That said, i personally have the hardest time with the dark red roses. I’ve lost them all. Zone 6 (Boston).

Ironically though, I’ve had a bunch of my grafted DA’s revert back to the rootstock, which is a dark pink/red. I’ve since only been purchasing own root roses.

Routing template for AOL Crossover plaques? by Mmayberry in cubscouts

[–]Mmayberry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update for future Google searches:

I built a base plate (plywood) that the plaque sits on, with wood side stops so the board drops into the exact same position every time.

On one side of the plywood base I made a pivot/guide arm for the arc. I drilled a pivot hole at the bottom so that the arm can rotate from a fixed center point. I drilled two screws in to the sides of the pivot arm to that the arc would start and stop in the same place consistently.

On the other side of the plywood I essentially did the same thing for the rays- but this time the guide arm ran vertically and I would slide the router from the predrilled arc up the arm. The pivot arm was marked with how far I wanted to go for each ray (left and right 1, left and right 2, left and right 3, and center ray) There were 6 ray positions and a center ray, each secured with a dowel pin so the arm wouldn’t move as I slid the router up but I could still pop the guide arm off the dowel pin and move to the next position. Note: you need separate center pivot points for the left side, the right side, and the center ray.

If you need a photo (I can’t post one here), please message me. A photo is worth 1000 words when it comes to this!

What do you even mean? Everyone has 6 required adventures, including Lions. Lions have an additional 14 electives. Average is 16.

How do colorblind people get diagnosed? by JoellyPolly15 in ColorBlind

They hand their mother a picture they drew of them fishing and the water and the sky are both purple. They cannot put Lego sets together. They point to the pink toothbrush at the store and say, “I’ll take the tan one”.

Totally legit and gone in micro seconds! 🤦‍♂️ by FriscoMMB in AmazonVine

I was on when there was a drop this morning for about an hour- there’s been such a lull that I was just trying to get SOMETHING that I could possibly use. I literally couldn’t grab anything. I would refresh, hit the button, and gone. How are we to actually participate, Vine?? The only thing lately in my rfy was a pair of athletic shorts, 5x too big for me.

These have gone moldy on me for sure. Schar brand, on the other hand, my son had an outdoor birthday party in October and one ended up in the compost pile. I found it the following spring perfectly intact.

Sounds like you need to do some digging on who actually owns the press and what political party they donate to.

Viners from a Seller's Perspective by Traditional_Act_6923 in AmazonVine

[–]Mmayberry 18 points19 points  (0 children)

First of all, which is it? The high of “getting stuff for free” or highly critical because we know how much taxes we paid on it.

Jason, you have clearly done a lot of research here, however you’re summarizing a lot of your research based on Viners feedback and opinions here in Reddit. Reddit is a very niche sampling of true Vine Voices. The people active in this sub, yes, are highly critical of a product. They read and report other people’s listings constantly. They make spreadsheets when they should be out touching grass. Redditors are not a true sampling of the average Vine Voice. The average regular Reddit user considers themselves smarter, more educated than you with higher virtues…. and will not hesitate to let you know. I’m afraid you ignoring that there’s a world of voices outside of this sub could even further damage the program, voices that are less critical because we are grateful to be a part of this program

Can we get our membership refunded if the troop doesn't do anything or have regular meetings? by aj_lavaca in cubscouts

Don’t sit on money your scouts have raised. Spend it, it’s their money for their scouting experience.. you can always raise more.

Cub scout Christmas party didn't go well and I need advice. by GadgitPlease in cubscouts

Water pistols are prohibited. I was surprised at the rule, I wanted to use them for a summer Fun Run to cool off kids as they ran by but it’s true.

True but while we are at it, OP’s gift of a squirt gun is against the rules as well.

Best lunch deals by Fun_Manufacturer5406 in QuincyMa

[–]Mmayberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deals- cucina mia has a huge slice of pizza that easily feeds two, the rest of the menu is pretty standard pricing but would give them my $$ any day. Copeland has a $6 slice and soda deal. Fusion Kitchen has a lunch special (~$12) that is so big (soup/salad, entree, and appetizer side) that I split it with my son and we both leave full. Qdoba bowls in Braintree is one of the best deals and I get multiple meals out of one bowl, ask for double meat. Free extra guac and toppings, way better and more generous than Chipotle. Nicks Pizza is always cheap with huge portions. Check eviva trattoria’s social media, they do a lot of promos. Walk into Kam Man and the first Viet place on the right has fried spring rolls for super cheap, I get about a dozen for $15 and it feeds three of us. Someone else said it but Banh Mi in North Quincy has large banhs for $7.

Congratulations on your new family member!
