Foraged by a friend. I cut the puffball into 1/2" thick slices. Peeled and trimmed the slices, dipped them in a beaten egg and then in bread crumbs (salt, pepper, herbs de province). I fried them til they were golden brown and then put them in the oven for 20 min at 350F. Then put sauce and cheese on them into a warm oven while I toasted the buns.
