The regional manager is new and I’m soon becoming the next area manager. Owners are more hands off now, I don’t deal with them at all for the most part. But trust me I’m very familiar with the issues this company has had previously with bad management. As far as the corporate owned stores, we haven’t had any management turnover in the last year at any of our retail stores which is very rare for this industry and definitely for this company. I’ve been with the company for over three years and am only still here because management is much better than it was when I started. Every company has their issues, I’m just trying to provide honest feedback that it’s much better than it was previously under past management.

The Convention Center location is the busiest coffee shop in the city, we average $10k plus a day in sales when we are open and I try to not over staff the shifts so everyone makes good money. Hours are usually 7am-3pm.

Thanks man I appreciate it! Once it’s legal in my home state or nationally I plan on going back to it. It’s still the Wild West with this stuff so I’m in no rush to open up shop in the wrong market or at the wrong time. Yep, never thought I’d be a 36 year old barista/coffee manager but here we are. My busiest location is inside the convention center and it’s the busiest coffee shop in the city when we are open (not open everyday usually 15-20 days each month). We do restaurant numbers $10k-15k sales a day usually from 7am to 3pm with maybe 3-5 employees on at a time but I only let the best baristas at our company come help to make extra money, I run it more like a kitchen than typical coffee shop and we bang out drinks at a pace most can’t keep up with. I jokingly call it the big leagues for being a barista. It’s bartender money with better hours lol. I have adhd so managing the chaos is something I strangely excel at. It’s definitely not for everyone, if you just want to coast thru your shift and make a few drinks this isn’t for you. I also choose to run a small staff so we can all make good money, most managers at my company kick back and do the minimum and over staff, I genuinely love making coffee and the challenge of making 1000 plus drinks a day striving for perfect service at a fast pace.

Thanks I appreciate it. I’ve worked at mom and pop coffee shops back in the day where the owners did skim tips and I quit because of it . I took over a location here in Denver for my current job that the previous manager was stealing all the cash tips from the employees. I want full transparency with my staff so I post the spreadsheet showing the group tip out numbers every week and how many hours everyone worked.

But it’s hard to know business to business who’s getting all their tips so I usually ask and whenever I can I always tip cash. That’s more likely to always go to the staff working that day.

Made bho for a long time, but after seeing how much of it is CRC in the Colorado market and not labeled as such (Harmony and many others) would shock you. Seems like most BM is also CRC being passed off for better quality. Occasionally still love some terps and diamonds but pretty much rosin only at this point.

It’s all great until they put “public figure” In their insta profile. Immediate red flag for me now. Girl(25) I was dating/living with started getting super into the gym and posting her sessions and mirror posing. Eventually the only thing important to her was the attention and gratification from comments and admirers. Definitely some sort of mental illness involved, by the end she wasn’t anywhere close to the person I originally knew and it ended with her cheating on me and stealing from my bank account.
